So to those of you who are brave enough to go out in public in broad daylight what lengths of dressing do you go to? i mean dependin on age an your stile what outfits are more comfatale to blend in with with out drawin to much attention. say for instance a fortiyish would it be more best to wear ladies trouse flat shoes an blouse toppt of with ladies coat if that person was not passable. i soppose those of you who are either more daring or passable could pull off a dress in high heels or skirt. an what about hair i know you can get some very good wigs but even gg can have shortish hair so how far do you go in achivin the most convincing woman:battingeyelashes:

I see you've made a lot of posts lately, but youve been a member since 2010.... Are you having a hard time getting out there the first time?
It sounds like it from your recent posts. This question your asking translates to me as this: What do i wear if i decide to go out?

You should wear what is comfortable to you.

Jeans, femme top, boy makeup....(look on youtube), and flats or sandals....Look around you, what are the women your age wearing?....
What do you see the other "everyday girls" wear that you would like to wear? This is a great starting place, because it will make you comfortable going out for the first few times. Your Blending!

Once your confidence has hit critical mass (like mine:tongueout) It wont really matter if your wearing a skirt, jeans, or a paper bag....youll just be content being you....

i wear whatever the day calls for.. if shopping a lot i will wear slacks and flats with pantyhose. if it is a warm summer day i may wear shorts, or if i am feeling sexy i may wear a short skirt with heels.. main reason i do that is because my best asset is my legs and i love to show them off... most times the guys never get to the face.. so easier to not be read.. and if they think i am a guy the legs, long and smooth and tan kind of throw them

I think Donni has given you perhaps the best advice here Girl. Once you are ready what you, where you go, even who sees you is all going to be secondary. It will be about taking those steps out of the closet, out the front door, an into civilization. Where what makes you comfortable but keep in mind where you are what type of image you are trying to portray. Obviously if you are going to the grocery store a leather mini and 5" heels is not going help you blend in. Take some time decide where you want to go for your first outing and study the GG's there. That will tell you whethr it is a skirt or slacks or jeans or whatever. Good luck and I hope you take that step soon for your own sake!

I promise you I wear what I want. I don't try to look younger than I actually am, although I look my age 47 to my male actual age of 60. I like to wear everything, except really short stuff. A skirt just above the knee would be okay but not higher. I wear heels as high as 3 1/2 inch. That is good enough I can walk and run like a woman but I won't push it. Never had any problem catching the bus or train. I wear makeup that I put on myself and I think I do it well. But confidence is the most important aspect of walking on the streets in femme. That means not only knowing where you're going but how you are getting there. Keep your head up cause women don't walk with their heads down looking at the ground. You are suppose to walk with your chest pushed out. Not every one does everything the same way. Just be conscious of your surroundings. Smile if someone catches your eye and don't stare look away quickly. Speak quietly and softly say HI if someone says it to you in a high tone but not squeaky. Have fun. I do.

I fully understand that jeans and flats would help me blend better, but my sense of style more or less demands that I wear skirts, stockings and heels when I go out. I do occasionally wear jeans or dressier women's pants when visiting the hair or nail salon, but usually that's because I've been lazy and didn't have time to epilate my legs before the appointment.

But you should dress for your own comfort and to project the image that makes you feel the best and most powerful. Everything in life is much easier when you feel attractive and confident, whether that means blending in or standing out for you.

You do as a GG does, wear what you want! Now, some GGs will push the envelope and others will be more conservative. Which kind of a GG are you? :)

Now, as CDers we do want to present enough feminine cues to nail down our presentation. I don't wear plain jeans, for example. A bit of bling or shorter Capri length works great. A pretty top in a bright color goes well. If I'm shopping, I wear clothes that make trying on clothes easy. My shoes tend to be flat if I'm going to do some walking.

I really like the longer dresses and skirts that I'm seeing now. They're femme, fun to wear, and fit right in! Probably not the best choice of shopping, but if you're going out to a causal dinner they are wondeful!

If I'm in a skirt mood that works well too. I love the longer skirts that are currently being worn.

I wore jeans the first time I went out in public, but that's because I haven't been able to shave my legs :P

Pants or skirt whatever rocks your boat.
A lot of jeans wearing for me at the moment as I prefer to dress for the occasion.

It depends on the time of year, the weather, where I'm going and what I will be doing.
If I'm just going to the mall shopping then I usually wear slacks or jeans in the colder months and shorts, capris or a summer skirt in the warmer months.
It sometimes also depends on the time of day. If I'm shopping during the week at say lunch hour at a high end department store I'll dress as if I just came from the office. A nice tailored skirt and blouse, with heels and hose. If I'm going to Walmart, well then I don't want to look like the WalMartians so I'll just go casual.

Typically it's dress for the weather and the venue. You know what all the other women your age are wearing so be one of them. Don't try to be 17 if you're 45.

For me, this is simple. I can wear trousers every day....and I do! So when I spend my femme time, it's a skirt or a dress every time.

Depends on the fit of the trousers. But if I were to do the full fem look again, it would be skirt. Sorry, I just prefer them, and if I can wear one outs and abouts, and NOT only at club, I am taking that oportunity.

If you want to wear a skirt, you certainly could. I see plenty of middle aged women in skirts (and even a few professional women wearing hose too) all the time.

Last time out myself and my cd friend wore dresses. What else? We were not really trying to blend -in. Feeling a bit bolder with each other for support. Let the women in jeans stare--who cares. We asked the girls at the thrift store if we were over dressed (Hope so).
"Oh not at all: wear whatever you want! Maybe you are on your lunch hour from work in your office."

I always wear a mustache & no makeup, but otherwise it depends on the occasion. For parties & GNO, a dress. For shopping & trying on clothes, skirt & blouse, flats or low heels, so I can try on skirts & ask advice even if I don't find a blouse. For antiquing & art galleries, heels & a little nicer outfit are ok. When I can't shave my legs & the weather is cool enough, often opaque black tights &/or boots under midi- or maxi-skirts.
Some times I go out for coffee in a girl's polo shirt & jeans or slacks, carrying a backpack. & sometimes then change into a dress & purse in the men's room (if there's privacy) for dinner.

Dress you age. Most people look a little dumpy on the street these days, but follow the best examples instead.

I choose skirts or dresses... but in the winter, while I would still wear the occasional skirt, it was usually skinny jeans or leggings with a tunic or sweater dress...

At my age, I am partial to maxi dresses and and skirts with coordinated top. Soft and flowing is my preference. The old legs are not as pretty as they were 20 years ago.
