I dont think I know how I feel about something that happened yesterday. I was at a bus stop coming back from my therapist's office. I was out underdressed as I usually am, and there were a few other people at the stop, including a couple of teenage girls. One of them said to the other "Look he's wearing panties". I was wearing a pretty tight pair of shorts, kind of unisex, so I guess you could see the outline. I turned around, not quite knowing what to say, but they actually just smiled. The bus came right about then, so nothing came of it, but a smile wasnt what I exoecting. Now, even a few months ago being caught like that would have sent me into a paranoid state, but Im not quite sure how I feel. At least it was nice not to openly made fun of- they sat down on the bus not too far from me and I didnt hear them say anything else or seem to pay any more attention. Maybe other people have had that happen, but it was the first time for me.

Well, my first thought is to do something about your panty lines. ;-)
If you're gonna under-dress, than you need to pay attention to how it effects your look. When I wear slacks that are tight or without a liner, I wear boy shorts or something similar so I don't have VPL. (Visible Panty Lines)
On the other hand, a too tight pair of men's bikini briefs would have done the same thing.

That's why you should be wearing "nude" colored panties so you don't see them. I don't know how they knew you were wearing panties unless the top of your panties were riding up above the top of your pants waistband.

i think they might have shown at waist line.
They might have seen the gusset seam, it's pretty distinctive. Try looking on a men's underwear site and find a pair of briefs with the same gusset seam. It will be pretty difficult.
