My new neighbors are immigrants from Sudan. Dut (pronounced as a sort u) saw me out in the yard in a skirt. He asked me if it is ok for American men (he is a new citizen) to wear skirts like I do. In his country most men wear a skirt type garment most of the time. I explained to him that in the USA, people are free to dress as we please. I pointed out to him that most of the time I am in a kilt which is my ansestors native dress. I pointed out to him that many people disagree with a man in a skirt but that if it makes him comfortable, go ahead and do it. This morning, I looked up rom my garden work to see Dut getting into his car in a beautifully decorated native skirt from Sudan.

Very nice story :) Not quite what we are about persay but still. If more citizens wore their kilts or native skirts out, the idea of men in skirts wouldn't be such as big thing as it is today. it's a start :) Thank you for sharing :)
