Black Skirts

My absolute favourite article of women's clothing has to be a knee length straight black skirt with back zip fastening and back vent.

This is a timeless classic which probably every women has owned or has worn at some point. As long as i have been alive (33 years) i have seen women wearing them. Other styles of skirts have come and gone but the little black skirt is always there and always will be.

I am delighted to reveal that I am wearing one right now and it feels lovely. It is comfortable, and so easy to wear and looks and feels great with a pair of killer heels.

I love all types of skirts, but this style has always been my favourite, and like many women I have been wearing and wearing this style for years and always will. It will never go out of style.

Does anyone else love this classic skirt as much as i do?

Hi Hun...can't argue with that...I love my black skirts...my particular fave is a silky knee-length pleated one that just swishes as you walk and feels so damn sexy. Have just bought a black wrap style dress too ready for the party season...can't wait to wear it.!

I too own a black lined skirt with a zipper at the back with two pleats at the front.

Yes, I have black skirts of various lengths & sytles,
(including a chocolate one with gold flecks)
love them all.
They go with everything & every type of plans (dinner, parties, shopping, clubbing, etc........).:)

I love it. It goes with anything and everything....well, almost. It's that lovely crepe material, very touchable, feminine, and soft. I love crepe! It's actually the skirt that goes with the suit I posted in the "office wear" thread in the picture gallery. But heck, they're separates. You can wear the skirt anywhere without doing the whole "suit" thing.

I'd love to have a zip-fastened straight black skirt (preferably short) butI have to make do with the elastic waist variety. I do enjoy short balck skirts. I even have an LBD as well.

I am not feeling the best today. Sore throat and all that. I have managed to sneak off home early though. I've got a skirt on now and i feel so much better. Maybe that is the cure for the common cold, a lovely skirt

I like black anything - it makes me look skinnier! :D Seriously, I have several black skirts, most of them are a bit short of the knees, but then again, I've got long legs, so I kinda' like the skirts short. Saw one in the store today I really liked - if it's still there after Christmas I'm gonna' get that sucker! :p

I have heard that Bebe is a great store. I don't think we have it in the UK but I hear alot of celebrity women in the states shop at Bebe.

Thanks fiona, I tons more stashed in the closet. Actually, my girlfriend is an "executive assistant" and I think I have more little black skirts than she does, hehe.

Bebe has some cute skirts and tiny little suits, but most of their stuff is a little tarty for me [ camo micro mini skirts and bejewelled tops, etc ].
