My name is Kate and im a 23 year old transgender woman. I just started goin to a therapist and psychiatrist for helping me explore further. I am plannning on starting HRT. What questions should i ask the endo when i see them?

Hmm? Well hopefully they have done this before. You will likely have blood drawn and they will find out your total and free testosterone. They may test your E level though I doubt it. If they want you on either E without spiro or spiro without E for more than a few months they're wasting your time!

Welcome, Kate. You will find a supportive sorority in our forum ready to help you and share experiences. Don't worry about specific questions to ask your therapist. Just be forthcoming so they can help determine the most appropriate course of action for you. It's not going to happen over night, so just relax and be yourself. Again, welcome!

Marie has hit it on the head. Any endo worth their salt will ask all the appropriate questions. If not, or if you need to know something they did not cover, there is no harm in asking. Every endo or Dr. that I have dealt with...lots of them...have been a great help to me and my transition. :)

You are so lucky being 23. I'm 55 and my doctor has put me through the wringer ... the lot .. including a cardio stress test.
I just wish I was your age to transition. The younger the better.

Good on you for coming to terms with it so young. A wiser person than I was by far.
