Off to the gas station yesterday for a bag of ice. 100% dude mode - cargo shorts and tshirt, body hair, all the rest. 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, in my 50's, 21 months of hair growth tied back. I bring the bag of ice into the store and the female clerk says "oh, you didn't need to do that, ma'am...er, sir. Oh, I'm sorry."

Point is, she dialed in on one gender clue, the pony tail that isn't even readily visible from the front, and mistook my gender. Makes me think when I'm all dolled up I have a fighting chance of blending. And, you too! Hugs, Michelle

I agree- I've had similar experiences. My hair is rather long, blonde and always in a pony-tail.

One time my wife and I (100% in drab) were out to dinner when our waitress comes up from behind me and says "How are you ladies doing this evening". My wife rolled her eyes, the waitress was appalled at herself, and I was grinning the rest of the night... :)
