I had started therapy months ago at my wife's request. She thought it would "cure" me of my "addiction." I got a great deal out of it and brought me wife into sessions with me. Today we finally got around to talking about my predilection for wearing women's clothes.

We moved from "if he dresses I'm leaving," to just don't shove it in my face and a designated area to store my wardrobe and a don't ask don't tell stance.

I wanted to cry. I love her more now than at any time in the past 30 years.

Awesome, Marie! Congratulations!

Sometimes folks can hear more from a somewhat neutral third party than they can from each other. Now that the door is open a smidge, take it slow and easy and try to let her work things out at her own pace.

Hugs,
Persephone.

How a good profssional can help. My wife was ready to leave as well until we went for counseling. Having an impartial professional tell her there is nothing wrong with it, and it isn't something that is curable. Also pointing out that I am the same person that that she fell in love with. Maybe it was the buried feminie side that was the attraction.

Yes, I appreciate her and the fact she wants to remain in the marriage.

I will. She seems a little sullen and untalkative today. I am treading lightly.
