ear piercing? how many per side?

I've finally decided to just throw caution to the wind and get my ears pierced. I figure as long as I've finally decided to do it, I might as well get 2 or 3 a side. What's the most popular with girls nowadays?

depends on the look you want...some are all over the lobe and pinna of the ear. It also depends on your age. If more senior, seriously consider not going beyond two. If real young, go for several. Personally, I like just a few.

I'd love to have 2-3 near the bottom and maybe a few more toward the top.
But, I remember reading you should only get 1 or 2 done every 4-6 weeks to reduce the stress on your body.

It's really personal preference. I'm 57 and I now have four in each ear. It's what I like.

Only one per ear for me and very happy i did it too, i love having pierced ears.

I asked the young lady at Claire's to save room for a second set of holes later and she nicely explained why it wouldn't be a good idea or look for me. I have extremely small lobes and a bit of roll to the flesh that is there. Just wouldn't have looked nice.

It is all a matter of what feels right to you tho.
Some like having perforations galore and some just want an adornment or 2, tis up to you.

All I have are my single earlobe piercings. I am thinking about a cartilage piercing but I hear they take a long time to heal.

If you are getting pierced for the first time, recommend you start with one piercing in each ear.

I guess I'm just old fashioned; I only have one per ear. Even if I wanted a bunch, I think I'd just start with two and let them heal first!

I think that it depends on the length of your hair. If you wear a short pixie type cut or even a collar lengthstyle when enfemme, I see no reason to show off the bling on your ears. Although I have thought of getting my cartilage done, with the shoulder length hair that I have what is the use? Any additional piercings would be covered up. I currently have two in each lobe and although I wear only one earring in male mode with my hair pulled back into a ponytail, I think that as a public school educator and at my age, I might be pushing the envelop too far.

I have three in each ear and thats enough for me,but on the other hand maybe nipples later. I think the only worry i have about nipples is healing and can i wear forms while they heal.

I say the more the merrier...they're only earrings. But again, it's personal preference. I agree Annie, why have pierced ears if you're going to cover them up with hair, other than they feel good.

personally I only have one in each ear and thats always been enough for me.

I have 2 in each ear.
The uppers have diamond studs which I wear all the time (work won't allow more).
The lowers are empty during work but after that I always have something in them. Usually it's 1/2" or larger hoops as I love that look. If I'm going out of course I usually go for something larger. My preference is for something dangling like chandeliers or large hoops, but occasionally I'll wear threaders.

I recently got my ears pierced. One for each ear. I don't know any GGs who have more than one in each ear. I see them on TV, etc., but not in person. I guess it depends on your age and the kind of places you go and the people you hang out with.

For those dressing in private or if it´s some kind of a secret, then apparently now is a good time to get both ears pierced, 1 hole in each, because where I live it´s "in" for guys to have earlocks, so just buy a pair of masculine locks and stock up on pretty ones for special occasions ;)

i now have three in each lobe and a small hoop in the top of the left ear.
i wear silver hoops about 2 inches all the time in the first one and and diamond studs in the other two.
when dressed the big hoops 3inch plus or nice big dangles in the first and i had then all done together at once

and i have a diamond stud in my right nostril love them all thinking of a monore piecing next the girlfriend has one and wants the same for me.
