Well I have about 12 pairs of femme shoes (for the bedroom only) and only one pair of sneakers that I wear out in all types of whether. I'm not exactly the most frivilous person with the purse, either, so I wear one pair for about a year until they literally fall apart. For the past month or so these shoes have been filling with water as I walk in the rain, so I'm thinking its about time

So I gotta get a pair of new sneakers. I'm going to get a woman's style for sure but I want something that is feminine, but doesn't look too feminine. The main reason being in case dad sees it, and also I haven't opened up to that many people. But what can I say a sneaker is a pretty plain-looking shoe regardless of gender, right? I was thinking white with a dash of hot pink! Oh, that and it should be less than $20. Any suggestions, girls?

Oh yeah, bear in mind that I am 20 ys. old, still living @ home, going to college, AND my mom knows but my dad doesn't (he probably does, but nobody's said anything)!

I saw a really cute pair of Reebok's that were really "feminine" in design, but were not pink or frilly or anything.

Kitty there are a lot of woman's sneakers you can buy, that are not overly feminine. You will be the only one to know and that will make it even better.

I agree!
I just bought my new pair of sneakers from payless, in the women's shoes display. Women's size 12. White with 4 light blue stripes and a matching ligh blue on the back side of the shoe.
They remind me of the old "running shoes"
I have worn these to work, and no one has noticed that they are actually women's shoes. If they have, noticed, no one has said anything.
Even my family members are clueless to this, and everyone of them have noticed I have 'new' shoes, but haven't recognized them as womens.

I like how they are are lighter, and even the narrower heel, (the only identifiing characteristic of these shoes as being womens)

I think I've got the same shoes as Francine's. They're very comfortable, and I wear them everywhere. The best thing about them is that they were on sale for only $10, so check them out.

If at any time you can afford better shoes you can buy larger sneakers at Auditionshoes.com. They have a very nice selection of larger sizes in good quality.
