I was repling to someones post and OH NO I HAD A THOUGHT.

I wonder if women feel the same way or is it just us. When my daughters was young they use to play dress up all the time. I'm sure most little girls have. They always liked dressing up in pretty dresses and doing their hair and makeup. Now my daughters are grown and I never see them in dresses anymore or really dressing up. When they do dress up is it as thrilling to them as it is for us. I mean here we sit talking about makeup and dress shopping and shoes and all kinds of things to make us look good. I work around a lot of women and I never hear them talk about things like this. Like I said just wondering.

Getting dressed up and going out does not seem to be high on women's subjects in the office.
Friday afternoon is the exception though.
Then it is how do I snare that hunk on Saturday night. :)
Out comes the predator woman.

Like you I wondered this and notice my wife when they reduced the dress code at work to jeans and sneakers she happily gave up the dressing up.

A few months back we were going to a wedding and it was like she was going to the dentist cause she had to wear pantyhose. I told her I will trade with you, she laughed.

But I am sure if i were 24/7 the fun of wearing dresses, pantyhose and heels would not be the same.

I think most women are way too busy with kids, husband, and work to worry about about makeup and dress shopping and shoes. Unless they work in an office setting where a dress code requires them too dress nicely, like you they prefer to be comfortable. Dressing has become just something they have to do to keep from getting arrested.

No need to wonder any more. I was looking at shapewear at Macy's dot com and saw the most excellent bodysuit. So I decide to read the reviews to see what others say about their purchase. And to my delight, the majority of posts were about how much they loved the item they bought. A couple posts said they would definitely go back and purchase more of the same item. Overall, the posts were describing how much they loved the clothing they were wearing.

little girls are doing what children do - which is trying on the roles of adulthood. Just like little boys playing cowboy, soldier or policeman. They stop doing it when they're grown up and have adopted a role that they are comfortable with.

We're a bit different. Many of us were very curious about the feminine side of life and wearing the garb of women - even for a moment - was a chance to try on that role. As adults, we've often wanted to play that role, but had less opportunity to grow comfortable in the role. But, as we have more opportunities, and for some of us, the opportunity to live part or full time, en femme, it stops being dress up and becomes everyday life.
