For all the resistance I have seen from my darling spouse she did something over the weekend that kind of blew me away (a little).

As I was removing my clothes from our joint closet in the master bedroom and taking them to the spare bedroom down the hall, I started piling up about 80% of them to bag up for donation to the local thrift store.

My wife who was moving her fall/winter clothes from said spare bedroom closet started asking me if I wanted certain pieces. Since I am trying to build my wardrobe so I can go full time soon, I of course said yes to nearly everything that fit.
So I ended up with 14 new (to me) shirts, three sweaters and 4 new (to me) pairs of trousers. Nearly all of it was her nicer stuff that she wore to work and was in excellent condition.

I just thought that was really thoughtful of her and as much as I have complained about her wanted to pass on something pleasant for a change.

What a wonderful gesture on her part to let you know she understands and supports you, but just cannot get into it. My wife is he same with intellectual support but emotional disconnect That is why I always take a deep breath before saying anything negative about her support, because sure as I do, she shocks me with an act of kindness just like this. So happy for you both.

I know it came at a price you'd rather have not paid, but N-V, sweetie. N-V. I take it no shoes though? :)

That's really remarkable. I hope this forebodes positive things in your relationship.

Yea I think you hit the nail on the head. I'll take whatever kind of support I can get at this point.

No, no shoes. She has size 5-6 feet and I am trying to squeeze into 10's.
