I went to Target this afternoon to pick up F and E (no dosages revealed!). It wasn't my favorite, the sweet Maia (isn't that a gorgeous name--sounds Hawaian)--she wasn't in. A young lady-clearly not very experienced-and another observing her-opened the Pharmacy bag and reviewed the contents. It wasn't hard to see the confusion as why a male would be filling a generic Rx for E. I confirmed that was correct, paid, and thanked them. I can't help but wonder what they thought of the situation.I suppose that E can be prescribed when malignant cancer is a big threat, but they were just puzzled.
Have you had a similar experience?

I have not had that happen. However, next time just tell them it keeps the beast from getting out and terrorizing the neighborhood. Then smile and say thank you as you skip down the isle.

I think I only ever filled one round of prescriptions under my old name. I was however full time so if there was any confusion it was probably why I had a male name plus I'm a bit young for menopause:heehee:

Harley I go to a small pharmacy that has one pharmacist. He happens to be an older guy and my prescription is under my guy name. He seemed real nervous the first time I was in there. He couldn't even say estrogen lol. They have to act in a professional manner. I'm sure he was thinking WTF though since it was a T-blocker, E and prometrium. The older female assistant is a lot friendlier and relaxed. I still only go there in guy mode since it's in my city and I promised the wife to keep my status hidden here.

Pretty much all the pharmacists at my Target know me by sight and nobody's so much as raised an eyebrow.

When I first got my prescription my pharmacist asked me why I was taking E and I told her the truth. It's never been an issue since then.

The first time at Drug Mart I got looks from two of the women behind the counter. I just acted as so what. Was told they were out of the estrogen and that I could pick it up the next morning. Seems like they were short with me when I pick up the scrip. Any ways got the next prescription filled at Walgreen and the male behind the counter seem to be flustered
I am 66 so do I qualify for menopause?

I am surprised that there was any confusion, unless they are very new. A male picking up those prescriptions is obviously a transitioning transsexual female. More often, they probably wonder how long before they see you present as female. As for the potential of a male recovering from prostate cancer, those people probably have other prescriptions that distinguish them from transsexuals.
