Golly, that sounds like a pretty expensive way to do it? Going to other countries that is. There are zillions of threads here where countless people seem to "get away with" CDing here in the Good Ol' USA.

I find this one of the biggest problems.
I do have data sticks for T Mobile in the US now and Mobile 3 in UK.
Europe is hopeless as providers there are country oriented and not Europe wide.
Lots of free wireless internet as long as you are prepared to trash your computer and not use it for banking and booking.
On topic now, I assume the countries you visited were safe?

Just noticed you did not visit New Zealand's West Island.
I thought it would be too big to miss.
