View Full Version : Sit or stand?

When at home and in female mode when nature calls do you sit as a women or stand as a man to pee? This is and has been a question that in my head for a while. Please forgive me if this sounds rude. As for me I sit all the time at home in both modes, and stand while in mens rooms away form home

Hmmm.... That's an odd question to ask. At home and dressed, I sit, but I just feel this to be proper for a lady or even a girl. Why be different?

But if you're not wearing Y-fronts or boxers you don't really have a choice, do you?

Do you know what, I find sitting to have a pee gives me a chance for a quiet philosophical moment. You don't have that advantage if you stand and have to concentrate on what you're aiming at. :(

It has now become subconscious for me to sit . I almost never stand. I feel I am beginning to THINK femme more and more. I am also tucked and or taped almost all the time now, which makes it necessary to sit anyway.

I only stand if I have so little time that sitting would be impossible. Since I work in television, that occurs far too often for my liking. How I'm dressed has no bearing on sitting or standing. I read of an Australian medical study a year ago that found that there were significant health benefits for men (of which I must grudgingly admit we are a subset) to sit whilst urinating. Specifically, there was an increase in the amount of urine expelled from the bladder due to the sitting posture and thus lessened the risk of bladder and prostate problems. So, girls, you should all sit all the time and if anyone gives you grief, tell them to piss off.

I dicided never to stand again back in the mid 1980's and I have been sitting everywhere and all the time since. ;) The only time I did stand was in Ghana, West Africa at a common male latrine at a rest area where there was no place to sit, everyone M and F would have to straddle or squat over the drain in the floor. :o

I sit all the time unless out and the sit downs are dirty and have to go real bad. It just feels more natural to sit now.

Hi girls!
I have a little secret that I'm wondering if anyone else here shares. It is difficult to put in "proper" language, so I wont try. Simply put, "Do you sit or stand while peeing?" I usually sit, myself, it being the proper way for a lady to do her business. How about you?

I definitely feel more girly when I sit. But sometimes......have to admit it's quicker and easier to stand sometimes, rather than pulling pantyhose all the way down and back up. Hate to admit that....feel I should always sit. sometimes expediency just gets the better of me. Sorry, girls.

I started sitting when I had to get up in the middle of the night. As long as you can find the seat, you don't have to turn on the light, so you don't have to wake up!!. Impressed the hell out of my GF the first time I was at her house. I usually sit at the office, but I always stand in public washrooms. wenda.

Always sit, it is very unsanitary to stand as I have stated before when standing you can splash up to 18 inches, that is about 50cms for you UK girls and that I think is not good hygiene for anyone.

I'd describe it for you Georgette if I wasn't a lady, but it's easy, believe me. In fact some public loos in the UK were thinking of installing special toilet bowls to enable all women to stand. I have yet to see any, but then I don't need them, :) .

Specifically, there was an increase in the amount of urine expelled from the bladder due to the sitting posture and thus lessened the risk of bladder and prostate problems.Quite so. Forgive the indelicacy, but as men get older, we have to pee more often, and it takes more effort to get it all out. I have found that sitting rearranges the internal organs in such a way as to put more pressure on the bladder, lessening the problem.

Besides, it makes me feel more feminine!

I used to always stand, but I recently passed out while peeing at night. The doctor told me that standing and peeing can cause lightheadedness, especially when awoken from a deep sleep. So, I've been sitting most of the time ever since. Incidentally, for those of you who have never passed out, such as myself, it is a dreadful experience, and one that can cause permanent bodily damage, such as what happened to me. I twisted my knee, my ankle, and bashed my head thrice on the way to the floor. I hope to never do that again.

It looks like the "SITTERS" are the real WINNERS here! The last time I tried to pee standing up I made a mess of everything. I must have a lousey sense of direction cuz I was hitting everything but the toilet!
It only makes common sense to be sitting down, thats what the darn thing was designed for. Thats why they put a seat on it. Besides doing number one usually leads to doing number.......( Well you know which number that is ). And nobody wants to do that standing up with your ass facing in the opposite direction!!!!!

and have from a young age.

I remember that a few people (live-in girlfriends, family, male roommates) have at some point seen me sitting while peeing and asked why I pee sitting down. It was done unconsiously as a preference and not thought of as a distinct feminie activity until pointed out...and no I don't make a practice of going to the restroom with the door open, but sometimes it happens.

I found myself twirling the back of my hair the other day as I observe ggs doing all the time driving and was wondering if any of you find that dressing female has brought out female mannerisms that occur without consious thought? or other mannerisms? Not the question of this thread, but related.

I've almost always sat 'most' of the time. It's even been a point of contention in a relationship or two. I find it is nice to just take a break for a second. I do, however, stand in public or when in a rush.

I must admit, oddly, that *sometimes* when dressed and the outfit lends to it I stand... for some reason the juxtaposition is sort of amusing for lack of a better word.

But if you're not wearing Y-fronts or boxers you don't really have a choice, do you?Well, actually, you do. Guys have been wearing flyless briefs for decades now. When they first turned up in the 70s some called them "man panties".

But that's beside the point. I sit whenever I can.

I have forgotten who first pointed this out, but if you get up to pee in the middle of the night, and you sit, you don't have to turn on the light. So, you don't awaken as completely and it's easier to get back to sleep.

I know, I was only looking for excuses to sit down ;)
Since I was old enough to buy my own clothes I have never bought a pair of underpants with a fly of any sort. In the early days, before I admitted to myself that I liked feminine undies, I always bought nylon jockey briefs. Then somebody must have decided that they were unhygeininc 'cos they disappeared from mainstream shops.
And I agree with you about sitting down in the dark. No accidents. I don't like turning on the light either, it kind of wakes me up too much.

Sitting or standing ...

.. and the whole feminine ritual too:

1/ always "pay a visit" with a girlfriend (to gossip in front of the mirror as you repair your lippy)

2/ boys may go "splash their boots" or "point percy at the porcelain"
but us girlies are rather less brutal:

-off to powder my nose
-visit the little girls room
-need a quick pee (why do we say quick?)
-must go for a tinkle
-where's the little room?
.. what phrase do you use?

3/ and why do 10 out of 10 girls check their butt in the mirror? One reason i now know, is to check you have not tucked your skirt into the back of your pantyhose ... mega embarassing to wiggle out showing your pantied behind to the world :)

I think this question could in fact be taken a little further. When you are enfemme in public, which washroom do you use Men's or Women's?
If most of you are like me, when I am out in public enfemme I always use the women's washroom.
I have always believed that the best possible way to pass and present the best possible image is to blend in. That said, when in a Women's washroom how well do you suppose you would blend in if a GG came into the washroom and saw heels pointed at the toilet and heard the sound of tinkling? Needless to say she would most likely leave and come back with mangement or security. However, that said, at least in several Canadian Provinces (BC & Ont) the law is pretty clear since Gender Identity came to being. "You may use the washroom of the gender in which you are presenting yourself" So while you may well have law on your side, it wouldn't resolve the immediate issue of possible embarrasement.
Personally, I only stand in a Men's Public washroon while in drab mode.
