hey girls,

Got the day off from work and when i was driving home decided go buy some new panties. I have never shopped for girly stuff in person, always online. walked around the store for a bit then worked up the nerve to browse. Was alittle nervous the check out lady was an attractive middle aged women. She didn't even pay any attention to the 6 pairs i had bought with the rest of the items i picked up as well. Was kind of a turn on to have a cute checkout girl ring up my panties. I think i will only buy panties in person from now on. :)

I understand exactly how you feel as far as being excited. I used to get that way too. I've found that I don't get that feeling as much anymore as I've purchased so many over the years. More of a thrill for me now is trying on women's clothes in the store and shopping for cosmetics.

I bought 3 pair last week. I'm not crazy about standing in a long line with panties in my hand. Sometimes I get something else to conceal girl's items while in line.

I always buy panties at Kohls now. The clearance rack is full of deals not to miss. Panties under $4 a pair and bras under $10!! Don't see any reason to pay over $20 for a bra. And I have gotten over the line issue by using a cart or basket then putting up my things at the last minute.

Used to buy mostly online, but had the nerve to buy (in drab) at some stores (Kohls is one). Just this week I'm ventured out of my basement, while on travel, and purchased whatever I wanted dressed. So much more satisfying to browse and look for clearance items dress as a woman - such fun.

When it comes to shopping, I am a lot less nervous now than what I use to be. Now I just go in and look at whatever it is I am looking for and browse the different styles and such things. I still get a little nervous if there is a lot of people around. I do know that shopping in the store is a lot cheaper and walking away with the item instead of waiting for the mailman has got to be a lot better also :)

Even after shopping in person for many many years, it is still a thrill to be walking through rows and rows of pretty panties, slips and bras. I buy clothes on line but always buy panties in person. Love Kohls, very nice selection.

I still get nervous and excited whilst shopping. The last time I was brousing I had a GG each side of me. Strange but I enjoy the nervousness which appears at the check out. Just hope I never see anyone I know...

What you really need to do is try shopping as Matty. If you think it is a thrill to buy female attire you should experience it as a woman. I have been shopping as Nicole for years and it has all become second nature to me, but I can easily remember when I first went out as Nicole to buy some lingerie. It is wonderful to be able to browse, at your leisure, through all of the racks of beautiful garments, make your choices, take them into a fitting room and try them on prior to purchasing them.
The most rewarding part of this experience is if you should encounter another woman in the hallway of the dressing rooms and strike up a conversation on how each others garments look. Now that is really amazing....

I know how exciting it is to buy things for real apposed to buying on line. I do get a thrill each time i do it and it does become easier. The main problem is that whenever i go into a shop and see lingerie I have to see if there is anything i like. Sometimes I see something and just have to have it. today was such a day but i didn't get the panties i saw but i will in the next few days. I need to get some more dresses and jewelry and that is my main job now. I have lots of dresses but they are all black but i really want some more bright colours. I will do that in person. But panties are something that i could never have enough of. Good luck. Lucy

I'll 2nd the Kohl's discount racks. It's where wife and I both get a lot of our feminine under things. Big markdowns.

Hanes outlet stores are great too! There's a good one in Winston-Salem NC

Me too. Something like a nice top, or a skirt. I don't have any trouble there. I have been married twice and neither of my wives liked to shop so I bought all of their clothes. I bought most of my kids clothes too, even my two daughters. Not a big deal. Once when buying for my daughter an SA said to me when checking out..."well we can see these are not for you" I laughed and said....why? are they the wrong color for me?.....The items were for my 6 year old daughter...

I have done a lot of shopping in stores for me and I still get that thrill of knowing the things are mine as the SA rings them through and I have never had anything other than good service when buying things for myself

While only recently starting to purchase feminine things for myself , I feel as if there is a unseen wall between me and the areas I would love to browse in stores , but the purchases that I have made have been thrilling to me but seemingly unnoticed by the SA's.

I know so many here worry about being a guy in the ladies department, but have you ever looked at your wife or GF shopping through the men's section and wonder, "Does she feel all weirded out being in the opposite genders section?"
The answer I think is No, so why should we be so concerned, just enjoy your shopping experience.

The best part is buying them in person, I'm glad to see others shop the clearance rack at Kohls, seems to be about the only place I buy from anymore!!

I have been buying my own panties for years. Actually, they are easier than some other items that take more scrutiny. Perhaps i find it easier because I know what style and manufacturers I like best and panties are relatively consistent with size. For the most part, I just go at times when the stores are least likely to be filled with shoppers and I head for the Vanity Fair rack and get a few pairs of briefs. I always pay in cash. The biggest challenge is finding different colors or prints. Sometimes that takes some looking. I struggle with things such as slips and bras where sizing can be a little more difficult. f I could, I'd like to try those on before I buy - I've made a few "I guess this will fit purchases" and have been disappointed.

I've gone shopping dressed both ways The only difference I've noticed is that in the male mode the SA will say, "I'm sure your wife will love these" (She would BTW). In the female mode I'll get comments like "Oh these are so pretty."

The first time I ever purchased a pair of panties, I was so scared you would think I was shoplifting them.
These days, I'll spend 30 minutes or more at a department store, picking out panties, bras, slips, shape-wear, and camisoles - and take them up and wink back at the cashier when she winks at me. She knows it's for me, and I think part of her wants to see what I'd look like in them. The flirting seems to happen with about 1 in 3 cashiers.

Only rarely will another shopper be visibly disturbed. As long as I'm not taking panties into the dressing room, there isn't that much concern. FYI it is NOT OK to try on panties and then not buy them. Even with swimsuits, you have to keep your own underwear on or buy what you try.

When I'm buying panties, makeup, or clothing, I just go in with an "I don't care what you think" attitude. Take my time and get exactly what i want. It took me a little while to get to this point, but I soon realized that I really don't care what other people are buying, and they really don't care what you are buying. Confidence is an amazing thing!

MUCH better buying them in person - plus, you often get to dig through the piles of them on the "sale" tables - that's really a lot of fun!

Me too! I'm not about to rush through buying and waste my money. It's actually not even a big deal anymore. Nobody does or says anything. When I was young, I used to shake before I went in to do it. My, I have come far in accepting myself.

It's great to shop the clearance racks in person. I can't tell you how much money I wasted on clearance on-line and once I got it I didn't really like but keep it any way. Now that you did it you'll have fun it's a rush! Hugs Janelle

I used to buy underwear from the Victoria's Secret catalogue when they used to have a catalogue, but that was mostly because they had things that weren't sold in the stores. I much prefer to buy my undies in person, it's much nicer when you can actually look at the garment itself instead of a picture. The Maidenform outlet store and VF Outlet are my favorite places to shop, they have a great selection and usually have the best prices. I kinda like it when the sales clerk knows I'm buying girly undies for myself, usually I just tell the clerk they are for me if she asks about a gift receipt.

Since I can't pass, I do all my shopping DRAB. I have been doing it since high School. I learned many years ago, that all they want to do is make a sale. In all those years, I have only been questioned once. I have shopped on line, but like so many here, I enjoy shopping in person. Sometimes my wife goes with me. In my former job, I traveled a lot so the odds of seeing someone I know were slim. So, hold your head up and head the the cash register, girls !

I buy all my clothes in shops whilst dressed and think nothing of it. Also sizes vary so much so it's not so easy to buy on line. Also I'm am a bit of a funny shape for womens clothes, a bit of a belly and no bottom.

When I first started shopping, I was nervous too but now, after years of doing it, I just love buying in person. I'm most often in my proper clothes (my girl clothes! :)) and I always try on the dresses, skirts, blouses, shoes etc which I buy. I've never had a problem with store assistants. In fact, quite the opposite, they're always incredibly helpful and kind!
So, my advice is carry on buying in person. Clothes shopping is so much fun! :)

An outlet mall close to where I live has a Hanes store, Factory Outlet Shoes, and several dress shops. They are always having some sort of sale and go there as often as I can. Shopping for femme things has never bothered me and I'm sure some of the ladies in this store know what I'm up to, even in drab.

i also love shopping in person in guy mode and have only had a couple of "incidents" once a guy was at the check out and tried to raz me about wearing panties, I used my deep aggressive voice and said mind your own blankity blank biz and shut up and went away. the other one was a GG who I think was trying to sarcastic in saying those will good on you, so I told here I thought so too and can't wait to get them home and try them on, she mellowed into a nice smile. It still raises my pulse even after many trips. Ebay can also be a great source, got some coming in the mail now

I love panty shopping! Its my favorite thing to do. Its so nice looking and feeling all the silky pretty colored panties. USually kohls, jc penny, sears or bonton are my panty shopping stores. I love the sales girls expression when i check out. i always tell them they are for me if they ask. Lots of them get a smile or giggle out of it. A few times i have been questioned but iam not embarressed to chat about my panties or bras.

Thats probably the biggest reason I don't like shopping at Kohl's. There is way too much intimacy among the shoppers standing in line at most Kohl's cash registers. I prefer to find department stores where each department has its own checkout. If I'm in line at one of those stores I don't feel funny, nervous or embarrassed because its not unusual to see that kind of merchandise being purchased in thatdepartment.

I've done it a million times including Kohls. I have gotten comments only a few times and have never had any negative ones. The couple of comments uttered were out of the SA's awkwardness and not anything I was doing. Doing some reatail therapy in the Intimates department is a nice after work activity on a boring Monday night. :-)

When it's panty time and I am in drab, I buy up big on pairs of thongs/regular same color and probably buy 10 of each.
When I get comments at the cashiers desk I say I went on a pantie raid the other night and got caught. Now I have to be the gentleman and replace them.
Who wants to break up the party by saying "I am a CD'er and I love wearing panties."

Last fall, after a rita day in Toronto I went into the Eaton center with panties on my list. I wanted to get a weeks worth of everyday nylon Vanity Fair. I tried the Bay but didn't see what I wanted so I trotted off to Sears at the north end. I found the VF rack and picked up 3 white 2 black and 2 nude both full cut and high cut mixed. When I approached the cash there were 2 SAs my age about. One finished with her customer and left, so I waited for the other. She seemed a little nervous so I made a comment about the cold rainy weather. She hinted a smile and was pleasant after that and I pulled out my plastic and did the deed.
I have enjoyed my weeks worth of panties ever since. Yes I still have some old wall mart specials and back up but now I want pricier lacier ones for special occasions like meeting with some new friends. They probably won't see them but I will feel so femme knowing they are there.
hugs rita

I used to be nervous too, but today I was looking at bras, 42A few and far between I might add. Finally found a nice lacey bra in 42B and put it in the cart. Looking at the checkout lanes I purposely got into the lane of a prudish looking church lady who reminded me of my mother-in-law. The look on her face was a KODAK moment! The scorn on her face but she had to hold her tounge.

I found the panties I love at Vantiy Fair Outlet in Opry Mills in Nashville. I get 3 pair for 12.99 I think it is and I just love them.. the fit and feel is great. I go in dressed and find what i need, go to the checkout and wait in line until it is my turn. I pay and go...simple as that.

I always buy panties along with something else so you cover them until they need to be scanned....it is a two for one or more! But I love the browsing and I don't feel embarassed any more because this is what i choose to wear. Look at men's briefs that are colored and then look at the shape of women's panties same shape and if both are cotton, there is very little differnce...I personally prefer satin but that is my chjoice.

I like to go to burlington's cost factory. Very few customers there so I feel less nervous.
One time they asked for my phone number like they always do for marketing purpose. I thought they knew I was shopping for myself and tried to get my phone number to tell my wife. Kind of a funny thought.

My ex told me one day to go to Victoria's Secret on lunch and pick out some panties to surprise her with that night. So I did. I knew going in that it wasn't uncommon for a guy to buy his girl lingerie so I was prepared to do it. But wow... the whole time I just kept thinking "they know I'm here for myself!" Then standing in line with girls in front and behind me and a handful of panties... Got rang up from a friendly associate, walked out with my pink VS bag in hand thinking "I'm sure everybody thinks this is for a girl."

Then I put them in my pocket, and tried them on at work and sent my ex pics. That was an enjoyable day that lead to an even better evening.
