I had such a great time last night. The waitress was really friendly. she sat me over by a huge group of people, but it was a famliy. and yes, I went out to eat in a small suburb. Im still getting use to going out as Jen, tough I am obvious. Its my hands, height and scarf that gives me away, but my clothes are AWESOME! I highly reccomend Cato fashions. It hasn't been hard to find anything that looks good on me since. Before I went out, I was Jeff, bought an outfit at catos, came home changed and I went back to catos. The girl that helps me usually works later. she GLADLY said, next time she wants me to call the store first to see if shese working. The other SAs are really great to, but i think this one likes me :) maybe she was jealous because she didnt see me as jeff when I was in earlier. she told me when she works usually. Ill surprise her next week and go as jeff and just make a donation to breast cancer or something :) back to my dinner, it was great. I blended right in perfectly. My advise to people that hasnt gone out yet, JUST DO IT its great. confident, calm and natural, no body questions.

This is the outfit i had on yesterday i wore a black leather jacket later

Yes I think you look good in your photos. I am glad you struck up a relationship with one of the SA's it is always a great help.
May I suggest trying a wig other than black. Maybe it is the lighting and more light into the eyes might help a bit also. These are only my observations and not criticisms.

Hi Jen,

It sure is fun to get out, isn't it?. Our bodies may not have the most feminine appearance, but great clothes sure help. If you're like me, we'd be the only girls in the restaurant who can palm a basketball.

LOL :) well, nest saturday i think in my area is the first sat. Thats usually when they have TG meets. Im ready to go. Maybe most wine bars may be safe to go for us while dressed, alone and or as a group of us. I have to find these things out. Shopping and dining is one thing, a lot safer.

LOL I WEAR HEELS TO!! ,ost people cant figure out if i am a guy or girl but i ho hear whispers...,I WOULDNT WANT TO MESS WITH HER. I smile and polite, people warm up quick. I LOVE YOUR HEELS MMMMMM!!! IM JEALLOUS. christain L. ??

I appreciate any help I can get and thank you? I was going to buy a wig, 2 shades lighter, which may per PERFECT i fall in love with a pair of shoes and i quit buying shoes i needed clothes LOL the best way to get a wig is while out dressed. Im going to a wig shop in a couple of weeks and take a break from shopping. Yea, that SA shese really cool, young, maybe mid 20s. Im peeping it really professional and a few chuckles I just wonder how shell react when she sees me as jeff. Of course, im still a guy, really hard to fem me up. I wonder if the interaction will be the same. If she dose happen to like me, will she likley ask me to just hang out?

Congratulations Jen! We may not be perfect, but we get out there and have a good time.

The last time we went out we were unexpectedly invited to a late dinner at a crowded Mexican restaurant. I was a bit overdressed for it in a flowing blouse and ankle-length skirt. I got a few looks from other patrons while walking in, but likely their thoughts were "Wow that's a tall woman!" and then their attention went back to their quesadillas and burritos.

Oh, and I cannot palm a basketball! :)

I'm a bit surprised, Eryn! U didn't ask Jen whether she had the steak or chicken?

LOL LOL LOL :) as a guy, i usually order the messiest anything on the menue, but I just got a steak salad. IT WAS ENOURMOUS!!! Jeff would have ate that 6 LBS salad in under 4 minutes. I WAS JEN, women dont eat like that. I acted approapiate, just nibbled at half in 35 minutes and I got a take home box for the rest. I dont think I fooled anyone, but I did overhear a few conversations. EVREYONE SAID HOW POLITE I AM.. :) some people were shaky at first, but learned quick how wonderful I treat others. THIS IS WHATS ITS ALL ABOUT... :) my watriess was really cool :) I knew she wanted to break the ice with me somehow, so as she was comming up to give me my bill, I pulled out my make up kit. I have items women cant find. she asked me about my eye shadwo and complemented. I SHOWED HER MY WHOLE PURSE AND MENTIONED EVREY ITEM AND WHERE I HAVE GOTTEN IT. :) it was a really loyful experience. The other customers just ate their dinner like it was just another day for them. DOCROBBYSHERRY, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL ;) I LOVE YOUR SHADES.

Great is it not? I guess we are not quite going to really make it as a gourgeous woman, but we can do the best we can and enjoy life. Even if we go out as a "manly" woman, people generally just do not seem to care or maybe alot of times they are not quite sure who (what) you are. I bet you can not wait to go again!

Congrats Jen, It's a wonderful feeling to walk into a restaurant and take a seat at the bar or a nice little table and relax. Sit back in your chair and cross your legs and make sure your skirt is just above the knee. Always remember to keep your back straight and your shoulders back, this makes the beast look better and gives off great side boob images. I also tend to eat less when I'm Susan and always have a glass of wine. Look and eat the part. Enjoy

This is the biggest thing I notice about how I act differently while dressed. When considering what, and how, to eat I've got to think about a lot more than I would normally do. Is this going to get in my hair? Ruin my makeup? Did I bring my lipstick with me? Even then it does take quite a bit of extra time to eat, but that's OK since if I'm dressed I'm almost certainly out with someone I want to talk to!

Id agree with Bree when going out I always think about my hair my eyes hdd I blink too much and get raccoons lol Always making sure my skirt isnt too high. Its nice that you were relaxed as that helps alot .The worlds your oyster now and enjoy it girl.

Glad to have a great experience! I'm just now going out as Daisy and loving the experience. As for Cato, I absolutely LOVE Cato! My most favorite brown wedges and pink/white/gray skirt came from Cato.

Congradulations-I found dining out alone one of the really tough barriers. Any woman eating alone attracts attention, so being en femme almost guarantees some interest from the other patrons. As I'm on the road alot, I'm used to it now. I usually bring a Kobo reader, or ipad. Better restaurants are generally more accepting than family or mall ones, although I even do food courts occasionally. Hugs-Celeste

...I just got a steak salad.

Now that's the way to walk the fence! :) Mimi and I do the same thing on occasion.

I've got to think about a lot more than I would normally do....Did I bring my lipstick with me?

C'mon, forget you lipstick? You could lose your Girl Card for that! I think that most GGs have a backup lipstick in every purse, just in case!

im pretty obvious, no matter what i do to try to pass, i still look like a guy. I have the best of both worlds LOL :). i t just draws attention peoiod, either gender or cross dresser, anyone eating out alone as no body does dine out alone. i dont have a lot of friends, but thats going to change soon because im finally being myself and happier

this is the best part when people cant tell WHO WE ARE. I LOVE EVREY SECOND OF IT. thanks for the advice on sitting showing the side boob. Yes i want to be as passable as I can be, but not looking for a date. I havent been to a bar by my self as Jen yet, but im thinking of a wine bar maybe, upscale place. It can be safe. I just went to Eat n park, which really isnt a pick up place. I go to places like that as jen, mainly shopping. dining out this weekend was my first time. i loved it. The waitress didnt know how to break the ice but she was friendly as could be.,. then it dawned on her, she asked me where i cot my eyeshadow. I pulled out my whole purse and evreything in it n she couldnt shut me up LOL

My hair was a bit of an issue, but i did eat at home, practicing for a few weeks. People cant tell if we are m or F but if we act for the first time, then that gives us away, but people are like.., cool, but we admire the art and want to prefect it.
