Recommendations please for good reliable online (as I can't find anybody here specialising in this) resources for feminizing my voice.

You could check out these people on Youtube

CandiFLA (she has a whole series)

Karmatic1110

You have to put in the work yourself, though. I have seen many people go to speach therapists and not change their voice one bit. Someone else cannot do it for you. Good luck with everything.

Thanks Frances, I have found quite a lot of stuff on YouTube but not so easy to search/stream/download when I'm on a VSAT system on the rig.

One web page I've had open for a week is, http://heartcorps.com/journeys/voice.htm has anybody bought/used this or anything similar?

That reminds me of people selling perfect pitch ear training courses. Changing your voice is free. It's just about the only thing that's free in a transition. Watch Candi's videos. You don't need to download them. Acquiring stuff will not help, and there's not a lot of information needed. I found my voice over the course of a couple of days. Using it all the time without feeling like a phony took a couple of years.

Thanks for these from me, too. My voice is awful and I practically went full time today.

Good advice Frances, I have software to download YouTube videos so I'll follow your links and rip everything before I return to work.

Thanks Saffron, more for the DL Que.:D

Quick question,
I too work on the oil and gas rigs in the united states.
How hard has it been for you to transition and continue to work in this field.
Something that I would love to do.

Jenn, send me a private message and I'll explain more.

This section is public so I wouldn't want to go into too much detail… though I worked for Transocean for 17 years, now I'm more in the scientific side as the drillship I'm on spends quite a bit of time just doing that but every once in a while we do commercial oil and gas work… next such job is in Malaysia for Shell :(

However, for me so far it has been very easy.

I just started using Kathe Perez. I started with her CD set last year and that alone was very helpful. I know because when I use my girl voice on the phone people refer to me as a mam.

She uses drills and various exercizes that don't seem to make sense, but then after time it all starts to come together.
