I was originally going to post this in the CD forum since that seems more of a 'default', but as I thought about it, it really is about my identity as a bigender person and the acceptance of that from my girlfriend.
My girlfriend and I (see my other threads for pics) will be in Walt Disney World next week for a vacation, for her to meet my family, and for my birthday.
On Halloween (and potentially at least one other day), I plan on going as my female self, but on Halloween itself she is adamant that I be in a costume. I was considering NO costume, not that I was treating my femme side as one, but simply because I'm lazy. In the end, I'll probably just be a cute witch or something.
Her words were something to the effect that my female side is part of the real me and she'd hate to relegate that as a costume or mask as justification to be myself out and about. She doesn't see it as a fake/costume and neither should I.
I wouldn't say she was mad, but she was very forthright.
It was very poignant and touching. I just wanted to share because I found that to be a different experience than some of the other Halloween threads.
