Ok so let me set the stage for you. I went to the doctor last Thursday.
I was dressed in what my wife and I call everyday femm.
(Bell bottom jeans lite blue v neck T pink cap wedge sandals painted nails and stud earrings. No makeup or padding. )

Now in in the room with a new doctors ass. As she starting up her laptop she ask what I'm being seen for and I tell her I'm there for a follow up for HRT I'm TG. With a little duh in my voice.
She replys oh wow m2f or f2m (the fact that she needed to ask made me fill good)
We went on to talk about my being TG while she took my no timp exc.
after she left it hit me. What was my bigest fear of people knowing. I now talk about openly and with some pride.:)

Breaking through barriers is a huge part of having a successful period of transition..

and your experience is something that is very typical..and i loved the part where she thought your were ftm!!!

I start on the 8th :)
She is doing some more labs to check my liver.

I think the big deal comes with the people you already know, your workplace, etc. I have no problem telling to strangers, it's not the same with people you know because you will have to deal with them everyday.

Everyone I care about has known for some time. All bit my sister and she found out today and not the way I wanted her to.
But that's a post of it own lol.

I'm still coming out on a one by one basis. And do not want to think about the work :eek:
