Just last weekend I tried on women's clothing at the store the first time before purchasing them. During the middle of the week I stepped out in those clothes for the first time. One suggestion to my last post was "to take it up a notch". So I finally convinced myself to get a wig. It is a casual type wig with step cut hair. I first found it very difficult to put it on but after almost 6 hours of practice I got accustomed to it. Since it is not the more expensive one, I wore it with a woolen cable knit cap.

I drove around the town for a couple of hours but the only time I stepped out and made appearance in public was at the gas station and at starbucks. I am happy to have received no harsh comments from anyone but I also feel slightly disappointed by not getting any comments at all. It almost felt like nobody was noticing the aberration. It could also be that the society has come to a point to accept it.

I felt pretty today. It was amazing to realize how much the wig completed my look. As the evening ended I was more confident coming home. To my surprise, I was naturally and frequently trying to get the wig hair off my eyes and towards the side. It surprises me that I did everything I always dreamed of within this one week. I only imagined it over years. Thinking about it now it gives me a shiver. :battingeyelashes:

Don't feel disappointed about no comments.
There is no reason for any one to comment any way.
As you go out more you will learn to smile every time you make eye contact and this is when you may get a quiet hello.
The fact that you did not get any weird looks shows that you are doing something right.
All the best for your journey.

That's a great step forward young lady! On getting no comments people don't comment on things that seem normal! So not getting no comments is like a complement in itself!

I would say don't worry about the lack of comments or strange looks. Sounds like you passed at the very least or didn't attract attention.

On a recent en femme trip home, I stopped in a motorway service station. One guy almost turned to stone when he saw me

Sounds like a good outing - great courage displayed (but make sure you are proceeding at your pace not someone else's)

I guess you are right. I want to take it slow and get the eye contact and the smile right before anything else. Thanks.
