Hello Ladies,

I'm in the process of trying to lose some weight, I'm looking at becoming healthier and in the process I'm hoping to lose 15 pounds. When I dress now I still feel good and I feel feminine, but I obviously preferred the way I looked when I was 15 - 20 pounds lighter. I want to lose the weight for several reason, with one of them being I would like the way Erika looks when I'm thinner. Are any of you ladies going through something similar?

Cheers :)

Erika

Always trying to lose a pound or two here. Been having more salads lately and my clothes fit little loosier. But then there some days when I feel like I gained a couple and try on a skirt from say two weeks ago and its snug on the hips. Makes me water bloat so Im full and dont eat for a day.

Erika, you should feel good about yourself no matter what your weight, but I understand. I lost 150lbs about 3 1/2 years ago and now that I am able to wear sexier clothes, it bothers me if I pick up a few pounds and they aren't fitting like I want them to. That has been my main incentive for keeping my weight constant :)

I'm not overweight by any means but I'm still trying to lose some weight around my tummy area. It's not as flat as I would like it. Doing some ab exercises helps with that.

I have maintained a body weight of around 161 pounds for the last 15 years and also enjoy very good health as well.
I am 5’ 11” tall and love my slim figure.

Unfortunately when I went into more details about this when I was new to this forum I got some less than nice comments from someone I don’t want to name.

So if you want more from me on this just P.M. me.

I've lost about 70 pounds over the past 8 months and I feel great. It definitely has improved my femme look.

Weight is fluctuating as I'm currently on corticosteroids, so I've got a slighter fatter face for my troubles.
Need to lose about another 12lbs as a goal. But this has been a constant fight since I turned 25.......many moons ago!

YES!!! I have recently lost 22 lbs and cannot stop dressing. For me it has a very strong correlation. I just feel more attractive and sexy and I know I pass much more easily.

I've found a lot of those pounds you all have lost. I'd be happy to return any of it to you, free shipping. It would be nice if when I gained it would fill in places where I add padding rather than places where I use the corset. Stupid Fat!

And yes, I'm feeling feminine now, complete with the self-image body issues.

You took the words out of my mouth...Anyway, people at work told me to stop loosing wt. I have only lost 25 lbs, but I am walking alot so I probably appear even smaller....muscle weighs more than fat. When I dress i am VERY concious what I eat.:)

Being very overweight never kept me from dressing but having lost 100 lbs or so it has helped my presentation.

On my way! 10 down 70 to go. If I keep up the pace about 25 weeks. Oh, oh, and I'll have a major loan paid off then! I know a couple stores that are going to think a pink tornado came through.

I do think that losing a few pounds improves my overall appearance. More clothing options plus a less jowly face.

My weight is like a yoyo! Up thirty, down thirty! I like the lower amount better which puts me around 130 lbs! My clothes fit better!

Erika, first of all you look great! I know exactly what your talking about. Last year as winter set in I lost 10 pounds and everything was better. Dresses, skirts, breast, and legs all looked better. But the best result was walking in 5 in heels. Just 10 pounds made me float like a butterfly. I think I'm going on a diet. Keep up the good work!!

Similar to you 10 to 12 lbs makes my small frame fall to pieces.
For those trying to lose 50 lbs it is because you are taller and larger framed possibly.

Easy to put on, HARD to take off.....it's not easy:sad:

I'm still a size 16(UK), which isn't big, but I'd settle for a size 12-14.

As for dieting, there is no 'secret', personality dictates whether anyone is strong enough, even with the right motivation.....like I REALLY want to fit in that dress, to lose those lbs and keep 'em off.

I keep trying....but I'm weak.

Lets ALL encourage each other to lose those extra lbs, and feel better about ourselves:hugs:

Not me. I am 5' 4" I am losing weight because I am FAT.
Lost 70 lbs so far since July. The doctor who has been treating me for diabetes wanted to put me on insulin shots daily and I just don't think I can give myself a shot every day. So I did research and found some people did a thing where they reduced caloric intake to 500 calories daily for 2 months and their blood sugar returned to normal on all test subjects. I tried it and it did work. My Dr now has taken me off all medication even the oral medicine. I am now at 1000 cal per day and still losing weight. I figure I will keep going until I have a 30 in waist then try to maintain that. I started wearing size 22 - 24 and now fit in size 16. The choices in the shops are getting better as I get smaller. The clothes are a major motivator to help me lose. I order a size or 2 too small and I have something to fit me as a reward!!

Yes a good reason to be a crossdresser. I will now live longer just because I want to be a girl.

Ladies, terrific to hear of your successes and their benefit to you.

I've lost 60lb in 5 months motivated by CDing returning with a vengeance and looking crap. Pictures prove to me that I have some ways to go yet. Target is total of 90lb. Will power to count calories and to exercise comes from wanting to look good en femme and not needing to wear plus size clothes.

Down to 1X tops now and if the top is loose then can squeeze into a non-plus top.

Yes! Look at it this way, if you need to lose weight for health reasons then go with it and use it for motivation to help you get your body as healthy as possible. Being thinner for dressing is a huge bonus. :)

Yes. I have only been able to sustain weight loss when I am centered. Being centered means female me is out a lot. When I don't care about myself I can't take care of myself.

That said, I am looking at almost 35 pounds lost from my most recent peak early this year, and I am close to 50 total pounds from my heaviest and unhealthiest weight. For me it's portion control at meals and a strong focus on my core. I tried on my waist chincher/corset for the first time in a couple of months and the shape I am getting is quite remarkable. It's a commitment to stay in shape, but's an easy commitment when I get to be me.

The heath benefits cannot be expressed loudly or often enough. Good luck on your journey and let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

If you haven't already checked, there is a thread in the body issues forum called "Weight Loss Club". Check it out!
