Surprise, surprise

My wife surprised me last night, and I now have pierced ears.

We were at Tysons Corner Mall and we first went to Claires, on the first floor, but there were too many kids around. So we went to the second floor to Icing by Claire. $27 for two 3mm gold studs and a 16Fl.oz. bottle of their anticeptic.

The only item on my Christmas list, and I hadn't even mentioned it to her. :<3: :kissing:

awesome hun! i remember when i got mine pierced when i was 13 :-) 3mm gold studs for me too :D .....i didnt wear mine for years so right one closed up and left was partially closed......got some piercing needles and 2 3/4 loops and re-pierced mine this week :D .........i'm happy about it and i KNOW ur happy being first timie..... Thanks everyone. My wife keeps asking me if they hurt. Seems she had problems with hers initially, and can't believe my ears have accepted them so far, although it is still early in the game. Well, I reckon my ears should accept them, they are CDs too.

I reckon we'll also end up with quite a few more earrings in the jewelry box, as my wife isn't one for sharing jewelry. She and her sister had to share things all the time as kids, so . . . But that's fine with me :D . Plus I am a woodturner, so I can also make myself some one of a kind danglies.

At least now, the danglies I bought a week ago won't have to be converted to clip-ons. I'll be wearing them this Saturday at the TGEA Holiday Gala (see events section). Can hardly wait.

Plus, it will make holiday shopping easier for my wife, being able to choose fem items, such as diamond earrings, as well and those manly things. Not that she hasn't bought me fem items for Xmas before ;)

No hints for Xmas, which is why I was surprised. She's known for a while, and even said I could a few month's ago, but changed her mind. Then said maybe in 2006. I reckon she changed her mind again. ;)

She had to psych herself up for it, and indicated, when I offered to wait until she was more ready, that if I didn't get them done then, she wasn't sure when she'd be ready to ok it again. So, not wanting to take a chance to lose the opportunity, the deed was done.

Well, my wife enjoyed her early Xmas present.

Andrea Bocelli returned to North America this holiday season to perform live at MCI Center with an international cast of 175 of the world’s greatest musicians and dancers.

Andrea Bocelli was accompanied by one of the world’s most respected and premier orchestras, The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, as well as the Westminster Symphonic Choir, Denyce Graves, and a couple of ballet troups making A Royal Christmas the Christmas celebration of the year!

Missy Anne wanted them for a long time, and we finally agreed to get them done this summer. He gets so excited going to the jewelry area now -- there is a whole new world out there for him to explore. Converting pierced to clip-ons was getting to be a real drag.
