I managed to get out today in panties and a sports bra with foam forms. It helped that I had a jacket to cover myself and biking shorts, but it was a great ride. After a few minutes I forgot that I was underdressed as it felt very natural.

Well a bit of an adrenalin rush I bet!

How do you ride while tucking though? ouch.

And was your helmet pink? There was a helmet, right?

The helmet is unisex, although sized for a man. I don't tuck and my riding shorts have padding in them to keep everyone comfortable.

I figured...but then the panties will get this funny bulge in front no? hehe OK too many questions.

I don't wear forms, but I do wear a sports bra when biking (mountain and road). They actually provide some level of support :)

I feel totally out of sorts if I ride my bike without a sports bra on. It may sound stupid, but I actually feel cooler when I ride in extreme heat, and warmer when it's cold out. I also wear panties, but that's all the time.

No stupid at all! I agree and I know exactly what you mean!

You shouldn't ride with ANY underwear under your padded bike shorts. If you want to crossdress on the bike, try looking for a pair of womens shorts that have a longer leg.

I ride often with womens bike shorts or exercize tights. Most of womens bike shorts and exercize wear are actually quite androgenous. Almost always a bra underneath, sometimes forms, sometimes not.

QFT. Cycling shorts are meant to be worn bare assed.

I learned years ago that wearing an undershirt helped to keep me cool in hot, humid climates. It collects and holds sweat and then encourages a cooling effect when any breeze hits it. Maybe it's the same for the sports bra?

I have to tell you that as an avid rider, it is always funny to see a rider with underwear on, under their bike shorts. You should not wear anything under bike shorts. It's just how they're designed

I agree with all the posts here re: wearing a sports bra when riding.

I ride MTB and road bikes and will wear a sports bra whenever I can get away with it (the only time I don't is when it is really hot and the outline would show under a thin biking jersey).

I've found that the sports bra (if it contains a good 'wicking' material) will help me stay cooler in hot weather and also works as a great 'base layer' and extra wind block for my chest in colder temperatures. I also have an issue sometimes with a wet loose bike jersey rubbing on my nipples and making them sore. A sports bra is the perfect fix for this.

I bike enough (daily) that I've ended up with 8-10 sport bras so I don't run out before my weekly load of 'bike wash'. They are in a range of colors from white and grey to dark blues, reds and greens, so I try to match the bra color to the color of the jersey I'm wearing over it.

Bike jerseys usually have a pretty low zip front. I've found that I can unzip it enough that the top of the bra shows and, so an unsuspecting person, it just looks like the top of some kind sports undershirt or base layer.
