So tonight I escaped from a brutal week setting up a new office for a little fun at a local GLBT hangout...threw together my go-to Halloween outfit = a guy dressing up as a girl dressing up as a cat, after the bouncer searched my purse for explosives and firearms I took a seat at the bar and soaked in the surroundings, it was like the bar scene in Star Wars! Halloween is the most wonderful time of the year for us, here's how I looked tonight

Halloween is certainly Star Wars at the bar.
My princess gown occupied the floorspace for five other people.
They did notice me though.

Has it gotten that bad in bars lately? I don't drink anymore so I seldom go to bars, but I don't remember either me or my wife being searched, just asked for ID (and that's bad when you're bot over 50 years old).

I wondered about that too...maybe there's been some anti-gay threats and the management wanted to protect their customers from some nutjob shooting up the place? Let's face it, we are an endangered species...

I'm glad I actually went out this year. One of my stops was a huge GLBT club as well. I haven't walked around outside in 6-inch heels in like 5 years. It was fun.

It was so nice to be out again after such a looooooong layoff, the only thing missing was Allie to make things "go" - you gals must come visit soon!
