The chase is better than the catch

i'm in a weird period with dressing at the moment where i find shopping to be far more fun than dressing, i get such a rush from clothes shopping yet i get back home and sometimes don't even bother putting the clothes on.

anyone else get this?

I've been through similar... I ordered a pair of boots that I saw at a club one night, scoured the internet to find, bought them ... and tried them on. They're in the closet gathering dust. But they look FANTASTIC!!

I have worn the catch home a couple of times, once in drab I had to buy a wig and a bra, obtained some tissue paper for stuffing, the SA's thought it was hilarious.

I agree that the chase (trip) is sometimes more enjoyable than the catch (destination). I use the trip analogy all the time. Now that I am older I get the privilege to add another interesting element into the mix. It goes like this, "I chased her all over the place, finally caught her and now I can't remember why I was chasing her in the first place!".

Got to say I love the buying too, but the first time trying on my new acquisitions is like a dream come true, times 10. Always seems to stir that part of me like nothing else, well apart from my wife, she always does that to me. :o

My first pair of girl jeans last week was an absolute thrill, so god only knows how I'll be this week when my new boots arrive. :heehee:

I love shopping, finding bargains, and searching for new looks. There is nothing more fun than trying on something a little different and seeing how well it works for you. The real thrill for me though is getting it all together and wearing it out somewhere. I love compliments too!

There is still a note of excitement and uncertainty when I go out and shop! There are still eye colors that I haven't tired yet but are in my makeup box. The fun, for me, shifts from buying something to having it available to work into a look.

I doubt most GG's try on everything they buy as soon as they get home. Shopping opens up possibilities :)

I guess I am similar in the way I shop.
I get on line and open a web site, like Romans, and want everything I see.
I do try to behave myself, but it is way to easy to just click away, and get
a huge credit card bill at the end of the month.
Do not wore, I have been good; and only bought stuff for my wife.
Every one asks her where she got such nice outfits; She replies "My Hubby"
Then they turn to me and I just shrug my shoulders, and say,"I Know Nothing"
