We all worry about the fact we are taller than most girls and look out of place. But check out this tall girl

OOOPs I hit post thread before I was done. Compare her height to the cooler she is walking past then next time you are in a store compare yourself to the cooler
Pamela, I'm sorry but you cannot post photos of other people without permission from them. I had to delete the photo.
She was certainly tall, though!
I'm 6'2" and was out wearing 4" wedges. I went into a restaurant and found myself looking a gorgeous young hostess eye-to-eye.
She walked around the counter and she was wearing------ ballet flats!

I have seen some tall elegant girls and some that nature has been unkind to as well.
It is a shame that nature has made some tall girls look less than elegant.

Had a beautiful young lady in my store today that was pushing 6 foot 6 inches. Adorable.
There's always going to be something... too tall, too short, too fat, too skinny, too hairy, too bald... lol. I say, regardless of height, pick your style, flats or heels and strut your stuff!!! :)

Being 6'2 myself i fall under this to tall thing but i have to say in my area the average woman is usually about 5'6ish and have actually bumped into a stunning girl who was 6'9 in flats ,it was like the usual reversed when im out to have to look up to someone else, she was painfully thin tho but proves theyre out there.
Heres a good aside howcome if at over 6 foot i look out of place normally do i still love wearing sky high heels =)

While it's true there are more and more tall females than there were many years ago, they are mostly young females. For those of us born when FDR was president, being tall still makes us look out of place.
Personally, I have been shrinking (in height, don't go there) as I age. At age 20, I was close to 6' tall. Now I'm 5' 8 1/2".

Linda I do not like hearing that I am 6' and although it would be nice to be a little shorter for when I wear heels I still like being above average in height.

I think the tall question is becoming less and less important, one reason could be the gorgeous amazonian genetic women of today. I am 5' 9" but do try to dress appropriately when out, leave the 5" heels home unless you want to feel like Little Red Riding Hood when out.

Sometimes i wonder if we are all on the same planet! In the area where i live, rural Illinois, i very seldom see a tall woman, like over 5"9". The average height around here, is about 5'3" for gg's. I have had three personal ads in this area, "tall seeks tall", and have had almost no responses, and the ones who have answere are short!! I do know of one six foot plus one, and have asked her out, sought her friendship, but she, sadly has no interest in me. I stil lack confidence. I see more and more short women, and very few treetoppers in this region. I do see tall married women, more often, than single ones. It is not at all easy for really tall guys to find any tall single ladies in their age range. So, one reason, that i dress up as the tall lady I would like to meet.

There's an interesting analysis and chart of heights of men and women around the world at www.disabled-world.com. For the most part it seems the height different (average) between men and women is about five inches. In USA men average 5 foot ten; women 5 foot 5. I'm still at six foot even with shrinkage.
I guess there are still not enough tall women (six foot) around for most retailers to carry tall women's sizes that have a corresponding natural waist. My son is four inches taller than me. My brother is six foot even, too! His daughter is tall being the product of both sexes being six foot plus.
Since my wife is five foot two, it really would not be too much of a big deal to have been five foot seven. When I was in my youth I was six foot one and at times weighed as little as 140 pounds. I thought I looked terrible as a man, and, I think not much better en femme (no meat on the bones). When I was six foot even and weighed 170 that was fine. But, although my BMI is close to being fine, the look of a man in a dress at six foot and 195 pounds draws attention. Heck, even a woman at that range will draw attention, even if it is no more than a quick glance.

I'm 6'5" tall in my bare feet, so I'm definitely in this category. At age 61, I can almost (not quite) count on my fingers the number of females that I've seen in the course of my life who are roughly my height. They're either very rare or very shy. I have noticed that I see more unusually tall women during the Christmas shopping season, for some reason.
I used to shop in a tall girl's shop in a nearby mall, and the owner told me that she had several female customers who were taller than me, one who was 7' tall.
Pamela, can you post a link to the photo you posted? That would be allowed.

For me, I love being tall. As a man, I avoided being the center of attention. But as Anne, I seem to love it!!! Being a tall woman would fill that bill. I just don't want my height to make me stand out as a CDer.
