Please excuse me for the questions as I am relatively new with cding. Why is it that womens clothing have shoulder pads, straps, and stretch and mens clothing do not?

Men don't need shoulder pads unless they play football, don't have anything needing straps to hold up, and a lot of 'em should have stretchy clothes!

Generally speaking, a woman's shoulders and her hips should be about the same width. So a woman who has more bottom than top looks heavy. Shoulder pads make her look more proportioned and therefore slimmer.
Suspenders are straps for men. There's not much else that needs to be held up, unless you're thinking of a spaghetti strap top or dress. If you meant that type of clothing, then the icky image of a furry critter in a spaghetti strap top makes me shudder.
Considering beer bellies, the less stretch for men (and large women,) the better.

The above answer for shoulder pads yes. Straps, would be nice if "we" could wear spaghetti straps, but other than that bra straps? You figure it out. Stretch? Well, that's a good one. I love tight and stretchy. I think it's the norm that women wear tight clothing to show off the figure, while men don't. Forget about beer bellies and big butts, nobody in that condition should wear tight anything. And don't get me started on the latest trend in men's clothing of baggy, big, slouchy, hang off your ass. Ewwwwwww!
