Hi my name is Prescilla,I joined the group recently and feel confident enough now to reveal more about myself. I am an Autralian from quite a remote area of New South Wales. I am recently divorced ( nothing to do with dressing ,my wife was 'mildly' tolerant of Prescilla).
One plus side of the seperation was a freedom to dress as I pleased and I went crazy on the credit card, but who hasn't. The problem I have in my new found "Utopia" is my continual frustration with my transformation. Whilst I am able to achieve a reasonable female shape " dont you just love corsets " makeup is a total disaster, married life gave me limited oportunities. This means what should be heaven is becoming more depressing and frustrating. I wish Prescilla would just go away but that is never going to happen as you all know.
I suppose this is a cry for help. Lifes just s..t at the moment.
Sorry to drop all this on you I know we all have issue.
Love Prescilla

Welcome aboard Prescilla. Have seen your posts. Unfortunately, you have bumped up against probably the most often mentioned element (outside of having big feet) that frustrates us. Most have not had the years of practice that GG are exposed to. There are lots of historical threads in the Beauty section for you to read. Take advantage of YouTube videos. Start simple, and practice, practice, practice, and ask a lot of questions. The girls here will be an invaluable resource. Jump in and chat with everyone, and above all, have fun.

Looking at the map the nearest mall must be hundreds of miles away. :)
Welcome to the forum.

the trick to makeup is to practice. Buy some eyeshadow, a pencil eyeliner, mascara, and just practice every day. The eyes are the best place to start because if you can get that right the rest is easy. Watch the you tube vids and just do it every day. Put it on, wipe it off and do it again. I started about 4 months ago and just lately got where I can do the eyeliner so it looks decent. Everytime I do it it gets better. Its like learning to drive. At first it is scary and then it gets a little better, one day you can do it without thinking.

Hi Prescilla
I'm also in NSW but near cities. My reply may not help you therefore.
It has taken me well over 4 years to get even reasonable at makeup but, hey, that's the fun of a challenge. What has helped me greatly is visiting MAC stores (usually in DJs or Myers). Staff are great and the products as good for us CDers. Another major contribution to blending/passing is a good wig chosen with the advice of a professional who can soften your male lines and match your colouring. YouTube will make more sense when you inderstand the fundamentals. Then its down to practice.
Relax and enjoy Prescilla's emergance.

Not realy sure of how far you are away from local shopping areas or how secure you wouldbe going for a make over. Like they say practice practice girl. no one ever gets it right the first dozen times. Theres plenty of online videos that can surely give you some guidance on this part of dressing. I have a drawer full of the wrong colors. that I always try to use and still no matter what hey never come out as good as my regular shade. So dont give up and keep practicing cause one day you will perfect your style.
