Is there such a thing as a blue fog? I don't what it is but lately my male side has become dominant. I haven't shaved my legs or chest for over a week, I'm intensely interested in shopping for cool guy clothes. I'm exercising more including weights. Although I still like the idea of dressing femme, the desire to be a guy has really taken the lead. Anyone else go through such a phase. Or is it really?

When I was seventeen....
Let the blue fog roll in and you will find it easier to handle more pink fog later.
Just avoid the white stuff on the freeways. :)

Yes, I think many of us go through those phases, but she will be back! I just entered that phase again after one of my longest girly phases I ever had. It was so long and intense that I am practically worn out. I am going to take a break and rest up because I have a feeling it will be ever so more intense next time.:)

I'll parrot everyone else. Being girly does take some effort and a lot of time. Sometimes I get lazy and just let my natural guy mode come out.

Nothing wrong with wanting to look and dress like a guy Hon, especially if we happen to be one. ;):)

Thanks, Girls. Ha ha - @Bev, I like the caution about the "white fog." You know, I'm just concerned for Megan. It's that this "Alpha Male" phase is so intense. I'm not finding the slightest inclination to either buy or try girly stuff. And I want to see hair on my body again after being smooth year-round. I've never gone through anything like this. I know it must have a lot to do with having met this woman. She's some years younger than me. We have been hanging out together a lot and doing fun stuff. But I guess some primal instincts are telling me "you da man, man up!" Well, I guess I can be sure Megan will come back in time.

Happened to me when I met my wife, I was sure I was never going back and when I did I felt miserable, if only I had been true to myself at the time I might have also been honest with my wife from he beginning, more of a reason to be thankful for her.

Megan,
I do not know if there is a woman on the horizon but I bet there is one close by.
Nothing like a new romance to put Megan on the shelf, for a while.
Do have fun as a man but Megan will come back with a vengance some day.
When she does you will probably still be in a relationship that has steadied down a bit and grown a little more serious.
You will have to work on these side by side and if you get serious about your girlfriend you will have to condition her or at least find out where her preferences lie with your X dressing.
I wish you well in your project.

Interesting. The blue fog... I've never thought of it like that.
I suppose there is always a side that's battling for the upper hand depending on your life situation. I guess it's healthy to have both gender sides getting time unless you're transitioning.

I've definately been afflicted by the "blue fog" in the past.Although, for me it clearly still has a definite shopping component-including clothes shopping;just shopping for snazzy tailored, fitted mens' clothing instead and sports equipment in my case.Admittedly, this can hit my bank balance even harder.Especially since good quality mens' clothing (sports jackets, long coats, etc..) can be harder to find or more expensive than womens' good quality, fashionable clothes sometimes i've found.
Just enjoy the moment and what gets your motor running at the time i say! We're all a mix of masculine and feminine characteristics and i guess some take more presidence at different times.

Isn't it nice to have the day-to-day choice though!?! Boy or girl, girl or boy- hmmm, do I take the blue pill or the pink pill???

Occasionaly the guy side plays a larger role. Most of the time it's a 60% female/40% male or at least that's the way it feels to me. This past summer hanging out with some of my guy friends was very male and over powered the female side however after every time we did anything I had a Strong desire to wear my feminine things once I got home. To much testosterone I guess. It's all about balance...
Fear not, Megan, it's temporary... lol. It's happened to me a few times, coincidentally linked to periods of heavy exercising. But the sleeping beauty within can only sleep for so long... :)

It will pass with time. Remember to never purge, even if it lasts a few years. If you do purge you will undoubtly lose something you won't be able to find again. Just pack your stuff up and put it away for another day. When the urge comes back I have found that if it has been 6months to a year I end up shopping a lot because my body size changes and the style of the day changes. Just have fun, it will come back....

I find there is a seasonal element to my life. Right now I am gung ho femme, there will be a break over Christmas and a return to rita till spring. My male side will come out in the late spring and high summer, August when I get bored with everything. Then growing femme side again.
hugs rita

When I met my wife, I came down with the blue fog, it lasted for six years, then it passed. I think I must have built up an immunity to it, it has never come back.
