Ok, so I took all of your advice and went to try and change my I.D. picture, but unfortunately it is illegal to change you're I.D. picture to a female picture if you don't change you're sex first apparently as it is a UT law. So I want to go vote and I almost didn't get to vote because of my I.D.. So just as an FYI to you all who live in UT.

what constitutes a "female" picture? Long hair? make up? lack of facial hair? so in Utah it is illegal for a male to do these things?

In North Carolina you can get a female picture with male sex/name. I am not familiar witht he law there but I too would question what is meant by a "female picture"? Maybe they do not want someone going on with a wig and heavy makeup for an ID picture as that might be considered a disguise. But if you have have your own hair I cannot imagine it would be illegal to be wearing some makeup, jewelry and the clothing of your choice. I wonder what the law actually states.....

I'm pretty sure that you could have long hair when changing your license... I'm just not sure why they wouldn't change my picture. I'll have to go in there without makeup and see if they will change my picture.

After I grew my hair out, I lost my license <clears throat>. I took my next picture with my hair down so I had something that would be sort of inbetween both presentations. I know you are only looking for one presentation, but if you get grief for trying to get a picture all the way, tone it down to a more androgynous look and you will probably be fine. No one has a good license photo anyway, so the cops won't care. :D Then some day when you get your "F" in driving, you can have the picture you want.
