Midnight at the 7/11...actually 3am

Last night, actually very early this morning I stopped off at the local 7/11, which is less than a block away from my apartment. I was wearng a black mini-dress with silver dodads, (Sp?), a black lace bra, with forms, nude pantyhose, blonde shoulder length curly wig,red lips & cheeks, hooped earrings, clip on, silver/orange clutch purse, faux fur, brownish, silver 3 in open toed heels, , any higher and I'd drop from a lack of oxygen (lol), red finger and toe nails and black framed cat'e eye glasses, somewhat over sized, I purchased some potato chips, which I normally don't eat. The store had three customers, other than myself, and the male clerk. I was treated very nicely and called maaam and given a big smile,by the clerk and one of the customers, a male who was leaving and who held the door open for me. I felt very happy after the experience, even though I was about to eat some not very healthy food, after removing my make up and a shower.

I was surprised by the number of customers 7/11 at that hour of the morning, I've been there a numbers times during the day, almost always en femme and there have been fewer customers. I was returning home from a late date with a gentleman who I had't seen in many months, that also was a positive experience. :)

7/11s all around the world make me uneasy if I am presenting as a woman.
I prefer to go with someone at night. You are less likely to be noticed in a mall in the daytime.

I love going to convenience stores at 3 in the morning. There is no one there and it really gives you an opportunity to really dress up completely. You can wear your ****tiest outfits and it's totally safe because the only one around is a cashier that is being filmed on camera. It gives you a great opportunity to really come out of your shell and relate to people on a one on one basis. I don't really want to dress up in front of kids and when I dress up during the day I tone it down alot. But I really enjoy being super feminine with the 5 inch heels going to the stores. I've gone to wal-mart enfemme and it's a much different experience. Too many people around ruin it for me.

I am new to this website and to being brave about dressing enfemme out of the house. But I have met Sales Associates at two different Fashion Bug stores who are welcoming and have had fun with guiding to learn about female attire etc including color coordination! Here is the bad news....FB stores are closing! Boohoo!! Now I have to bravely explore other options....but I am driven to express myself so I will have to take the risk.....ar FB they loved seeing me in full dress including my 4 inch heels! I felt so pretty and so girly as tgey addressed as no different female customer. I will miss them in January. Where to go now? Btw, I love this site and feeling apart of a lady group!

Perhaps some of the other customers were scouting the place out in the wee hours to see if THEY may want to come en femme. Just be careful, said wee hours are also the prime time of convenience store robberies.:)

In my town we have a large # of strip clubs and the girls start getting off after 2:00 a.m. as club traffic starts to slows down. And they stop by the convenience stores (and a lot seem to then do their Walmart shopping then too). So do watch yourself so no one is confused about why a hot lady is out unescorted! ;)

Thank you for the advice. One night about 6 years ago I was coming home, from a date, near Halsted & Belmont Avenue, and instead of taking a cab home, I took the bus home, it may have been a bit longer than 6 years in that I believe the Belmont bus still went to the end of the line (8600West) I was living in NW (6100W) Chicago at the time, about a half block south, after leaving the bus, I noticed a Police Car slowly following me, all the way home, which was 1 and a half blocks from where they first followed me, after I entered my home the squad car stayed parked in front of my abode for ten minutes. I was scared shitl**s, and did I quickly change into drab. I don't remember what exactly what I was wearing, but it was a warm Summer night/morning.

My guess would be that the Chicago PD was just making sure that you weren't one of the "working girls" that night.

Sounds like you were out in my old neck of the woods. I used to live at Halsted and Melrose from 2002-2005.

That was my guess also, the police were out looking for " ladies of the night '. Between 1973-1988 I had a second weekend job at Belmont-Broadway, right in the center of boyz town. :)
