Told my friend, unbelievably, pleasant surprise.

So, I very recently come to terms with my feminine side and it's been quite an uncomfortable knot in my stomach I needed to get more comfortable with so I considered telling my friend (a girl) who always struck me as open minded. We've been close friends for years so she kind of sensed something was up and called me. I took a deep breath and told her my desires. She told me she supported me and even said she wanted to help. She was so happy I opened up to her like that she then revealed her feelings towards me and told me she still thinks I'm an amazing person and we decided after years of friendship we think we should just start dating. She's in California for college for a while at the moment which sucks but as she said in her words "about time we hook up dummy." It almost brought a tear to my eye knowing after revealing something like this she accepts it and has deeply cared for me for a long time. I just thought I'd share this because I'm happier than I've been in a while.

I was fortunate enough to have a friend like that. In my case I met her at work many years ago. She let me know right up front that she was a lesbian and wasn't interested in anything 'romantic'. It wasn't until a few years later that I came out to her and she was so supportive. There have been more than a few times over the years when we've gone out "on a date". She helped me become more comfortable with myself and with my dressing. If it wasn't for her I never would have let the woman within come to the surface.
