I finally get a Saturday night off so I planned a night out. I shaved, put on my makeup and got dressed. I go out to my car and the d@*m thing won't start. So here I am in all dolled up with nowhere to go. This sucks. I even tried to take a few pix to save the look, and batteries in my camera are dead! Bad JUJU!

Call a cab and save the night.

What a shame! Perhaps your car knows best for some reason!

Were you able to get back into the house?

Being locked out would have been the last straw. :)

Yes, thankfully I didn't lock myself out. And, I don't think any of my neighbors saw the tall girl in the short dress trying to start her neighbor's car. I guess I can thank the rain for that (did I mention it was raining?) I just went inside, threw on some shorts and kept my heels on. I ended up spending the evening alone with a bottle of wine and Saturday night cable programming. Not what I had hoped for but no too bad anyway.

Your bad luck? I drove 500 miles to a family gathering and my car's check engine light came on. Now I have to take it to a strange shop and hope for the best and that it can be fixed in time for my drive home. But, my luck isn't as bad as my sister in law's husband. They drove 300 miles and he had a gall bladder attack and ended up in the hospital with the prospect of surgery 300 miles from home.

But, get your car fixed and go out another night. There will be other chances.

better than being out and about, 50 miles from home and have that happen... :o

'Course the SO once told me when I wanted to take some boy clothes with me when we went out for a ride; "what fun is that"?? :battingeyelashes: Sometimes I think she wants me to get caught... Or she knows the thrill of the possibility makes it more 'fun' for me.. Such a doll!!:daydreaming:

Sometimes what seems like a bad thing, is there to protect us from a really bad thing, maybe it was best you stayed home, your Karma was not right for going out.
