Going back to my female Dr monday and I have never totally dressed in my female mode when I went, but I am thinking about doing it sInce I told her I was TG just so she can see my true self and not think I was joking, also want to start on HRT and want to have that discussion with her, I have been going to a therapist for almost 2 years now and think I am ready to take that next step, any thoughts on how to go about telling her that I want to start HRT? what questions will she ask me etc?
Thanks for any insight you can give me on this.

I havent pursude this part as Im totally happy as I am. Easist thing to do is just let her know what your wanting to do next and she will go from their. I know you will get plenty of help here from the other girls that have done the same. I wish you all the joys on that next step of your life girl.

If your doctor knows you are transgender, then there is no reason for you not to be dressed when you go to see her on Monday.

I think the best way to bring up the subject of hormones is exactly as you did in your post here - i.e. tell her you have been seeing a therapist about your gender for nearly 2 years and that you want her help to start on a hormone regime

Dress as you feel comfortable. Dressing enfemme will help your cause with the doctor. How about just saying, I am ready to take that next step, I want to start HRT. Simple and to the point.

Does your therapist think you are ready to take the next step? If so, then you could carry a note from your therapist to your doctor when you show up dressed.

Good advice Jorja, just laying it out on the table is the best way to go, my therapist already told me that she will provide me a note for the Dr.

Never though about that, but since my App is Monday it might be to late to get the note that soon, guess until I get that note the Dr cant start the process?

I don't know about your town or area but even in my little town the doctors are connected electronically. A quick and easy email can get you off and running.

Wow, that would be easy, update though, my appointment got pushed back to this coming Monday, so now I have more time to get things in order.
