View Full Version : setting me up?

I found one of my wife's dresses hanging in my side of our closet!
I'm pretty sure she must have wanted me to wear it.

Yeah, right.
(but I did)

The thing is, I don't think she wants to see me wear it, she might lose
any romantic interest in me. And I don't know anyone else who wants to
see it, either.

That's why I'm counting on you girls to support me, and tell me it will
be okay.

Guess what? It fit perfectly, even though I prefer them a little shorter.

Ooh no it's perfect! Can I borrow it? You look great in it. Great Legs.
Maybe it's your wife's way of opening a dialogue.

She may be setting you up or maybe she already suspects it and she wants the opportunity to talk about it with you. If your worried pull it out when she is in the room and say something like "I don't think it matches my eyes, what do you think" if her response is severely negative tell her it was on your side and leave it at that.

It's probably not a good idea to put it and show her if you are unsure of her reaction. It took me a long time to gauge when I should come out to my wife. I started to gauge her by putting on on of her sexy negligees at bedtime one night and she laughed. The next time we came home from a dance and she went to take off her pantyhose and I said to leave them on as I liked the feel of them, she took them off and said if you like it so much you wear them, I did. The final feel out was many months later I wore her negligee again, this time I woke up with it still on. My wife said what the hell are you doing, adn I told her about my CD'ing. That was three years ago and we are still good some days better than others. Just last night she helped me by tightening my corset while I was wearing it. Good luck in whatever you do with this incident.:)

By the way I love the dress.

I'm going to make an assumption Missy, since you haven't said so, she knows you are a CD, since you shave your legs and have several pairs of heels. If she no longer wears that dress, then you can assume she gave it to you by putting it in your closet. Most women just do not mistakenly hang their dresses in their husbands closet. So wear it in good health.

Otherwise, wearing her things without permission is a big no no.

very nice dress missy

i sort of have the same rule with my wife. every now and then i will find articles of her clothing on my side of the bed or on my dresser. we had a talk about it a little while back and she said that anything she didn't want any more she would leave on my side and i could choose to keep it if i liked. well.... last week i found a pair of slacks there while she was at work, so i tried them on, they didnt suit me so i put them back on her side. i turns out that they were there because her side was messy and she needed some were to lay them flat. we had a laugh about it all.

6 months ago the story would have been completely diferent. before i introduced her to this sit she thought i was the onlt guy to like to dress up as a girl!!! now she is a hell of a lot more accepting and she dosent mind if i sit around and watch telly or what ever when the kids are asleep.

it has taken a long time for us to come this far and i encourage you to talk to your wife and introduce her to this site.

cheers

You could always ask her.

Kierci

Hell ask her if she has a hand bag to go with it and maybe some jewelry too.....

Missy, hold it up in front of you and ask if it matches your eyes and what color of lipstick would go with it. Or you could ask her to help zip it up for you. I like the dress. What ever you chose, good luck and if it is too long for you, you can send it to me.

Hi

This may be a simple case of putting the dress in the wrong location by distraction .So do not asssume she knows .

There is a film coming out soon called " Transamerica " take here there and see her reaction to the movie .

This is just a suggestion .

love

It's very cute, Missy. If it were me, I'd take the lighthearted approach so you can guage her reaction first hand. If it's favorable, then it's probably time for "the talk." Best wishes!

It's obviously not the first time you've ever worn a dress or heels.
I think your wife making a present of one of her dresses to you is a lovely simple gesture that cuts straight through all the "awkward conversation" stuff.
You should pay her the the return compliment of explaining about your need to crossdress and then see how it progresses from there.
I hope things go well for both of you.
Please let us know the outcome.

Assume nothing.

If you think she left it for you, tell her that you tried it on and you love it! With any luck, it will be the conversation starter that so much of us need.

If her reaction is negative ("I just hung it there because I didn't have a hangar on my side!") give her an 'Oops, sorry.' and move on -- at least you got to try it on, AND you got some great photos as well!

Mister Missy, The dress GREAT on you, and cute shoes too!!:D
2 questions:
Does wife realize you shave your legs?
Are those her heels or yours?
Maybe she knows you dress......if not I suggest you go reeeeaaaal slow and easy with the hints. Go too fast and you could be doomed.
Damn pretty dress !!!!!!!

Alright Missy its been 4 days now, WE all want to know what the outcome was. Was the dress so graciously given to you or did you totally screw up (although trying it on who could blame you) and push the line Hmmmmm The ladies want to know!! Come on Missy let it out, were waiting. :)

For me it was the "pink top" which can be seen in my profile pic!
My wife bought it for her, but once she got she thought it was just a bit too tight on her, and wasn't sure about the color. She doesn't usually wear pink either.
I had recently just bought the multi colored striped skirt that is also in the picture, but was having a hard time deciding what I was going to wear with it. The skirt has a shade of pint in it, with greys and black, and white.
Black tops seemed to 'wash' the colors out as well as anything grey. White seemed to be about the only choice until my wife bought the pink top, and was trying it on, and complaining about it...
So she asked "You want this top?"...
Well, that question had just about left me speechless, because she has NEVER bought or given me anything!
So I stammered out a .. "Sure".. and went to hang it in my closet... right next to the striped skirt! Then I knew what top I would be wearing with the skirt! And the top fits!
:)
So that is why my profile pic is so special to me right now. I took about 2 hours getting ready and doing make up, (which I feel I kind of "botched" but we won't get into details) to try and take some pics in that outfit. The profile pic was the best of the bunch!

Lucky you Francine, happy to be so lucky I am sure.

I agree with DonnaT on this one, Francine. It's extremely unlikely that a woman would make the mistake of putting her dress on your side of the closet -- unless she's gone suddenly senile, she's wasted , or... it's not a mistake and the dress is a little gift of sorts...or a test!

BTW that dress really does look great on you! I'm not the least bit jealous or anything... :)

Hugs,
Lisa

Hi Missy, lovely legs, lovely shoes, lovely dress. Why not one night ask her why is this dress on your side? Then wait for her reply.

Raychel

I also think that you should just ask her. One night I went to bed and found a new package of pantyhose on my side of the bed. I asked my wife why they were there. Hoping in the back of my mind that she had bought them for me, or at least was thinking of me and left them there on purpose, She said that they just landed there when she was putting things away, and put her hand out to get them back:(

Maybe it wa intentional, but there could be some other reason. And if there is then you are invading on her teritory by wearing her dress. And I bet that would make momma very unhappy.

I would definitly ask her.
