Well, had my first night out locally with the Croydon Trans Group. I have been out and about a little bit when staying away with work, but this is a relatively local area for me. My gorgeous wife dropped me off and collected me too, although I was in a more, how shall we say, liquid but completely lucid state, than when I arrived :heehee:. The pub was very quiet, so not many people to worry about. Was expecting it to be full of guys, so this made it a lot easier to relax.
There was only a small group of 6 when I arrived plus a couple of late arrivals during the evening, one of whom brightened the evening as she very chatty and it was like I had known her previously. The good news for the pub is the takings went up as I managed to drink my way through a few Vodka and Oranges (plus half pints of lager), so I kept the cash till warm :).
Moreover, it was my first opportunity to wear my new coat and shoes that I’ve been desperate to use, and seeing as I wanted to make a good impression, I bought a new cardigan and some D cup (size 8) silicone forms. Good old Doreen Fashions over Lea Bridge Road, E10 supplied those (product placement - when do I get my commission?). Well, a girl’s got to look her best after all. I also bought a new shift dress to wear but it was too tight, so had to steal a black dress from my wife :battingeyelashes:.
All in, it was an opportunity to meet others near me and as they meet on a monthly basis, I now have a regular outlet for socialising. They are looking to grow the group and hopefully that will succeed.
