Long socks

I've always loved long socks. I wear womens knee socks in male mode all the time. Lately when shopping I see a LOT of over-the-knee socks and thigh socks. I never see anyone wearing them though. I assume they're usually worn under pants. I sometimes see teenagers wear them with skirts though. Cool look, but I'm wayy too old to pull that off. I'll just have to wear them under my jeans. Works OK for extra warmth in the winter!

Anyone else into socks?

I wear long white socks with a coloured band with my tennis skirt and sometimes netball uniform.

Socks not so much, thigh highs on the other hand, love the look and feel. My GF can't stand the band around her thigh though, must get a decent pair of proper stockings for her. ( which she will wear )

If it wasn't for work I would never wear socks ... well, maybe just ankle socks .. they are cute. Otherwise I'd be bare legged or have stockings on.

I'll pass. I have no show socks (peds and no nonsense) now and that's great for me. I'd much prefer to wear hose with everything if I could get away with it ;)

I wear a lot of ankle socks other than that it's tights or hose but some thigh high and over the knee socks are cute. I've always wanted Japanese loose socks, I think they are so cute!

I have some from American Apparel that actually come up around the thigh. Green with white stripes at the top.

I have 8 pair from American Apparel as well and wear them constantly in the cooler months,wherever I am,with skirts and dresses.They come up high enough for me to garter. For the unknowing,they assume I am wearing ribbed tights.

I have a few knee-highs that I wear to the doctor. He needs to examine my bare feet, and pantyhose would make that impossible. Otherwise I always wear pantyhose. I'm prone to blood clots and have been told by my doctor that I need to wear some form of stockings all the time.

According to my wife and daughters, knee highs are to be worn only with pants or long dresses. They always make fun of the girls who wear them with short skirts.

I'm with ya on this one ,,I wear all kinds of socks ,, Trouser socks ,,Knee socks ,, Knee highs ,,Ankle socks ,, Ankle stocking ,, Ribbed ,,Diamond Pattern ,, Fish net ,,You name it I got um any color any material ,,, An wear them all the time long shorts capris ,,Pants what ever ,,, Can't get enough of them ,,Sometimes stocking just don't work for everything .

I just bought 6 pairs of "trousers socks", which appear to be slightly heavy weight knne hi stockings..Love em Jackie

I have long worn either compression hose, or knee highs. Afraid of clots especially when flying. I use real compression hose for flying. I also wear thigh high and panty hose. I just like the feel. But no regular socks unless in drab.

Socks don't interest me, in all honesty. Stockings do wonderful things for me, and I just love wearing them!

I love knee socks and wear them almost daily. I wish it was fashionable to show them in public at my age, but that's not going to happen! I've always considered them to be a very feminine clothing item, which explains why I wear them. My wife laughs about my large drawer devoted only to knee socks.

I wear regular knee socks all the time in cold weather and I have a few pairs of socks that are way over the knee/thigh high, they are great and keep you warm.

I'm right there with you Amanda. I have a huge collection in all manner of colors, styles, textures, patterns and lengths. My wife makes fun of my assortment, which dominates our bedroom. I just can't get enough. Lately I've ordered from argoz.com. They do only argyles, in various sizes and color combinations, that change by the season. It's getting expensive - but colorful! The knee highs are well made with good fit and are consistently comfortable.

Over the knee socks with boots and some leg showing is definitely a sexy look. Though I haven't gone out that way yet. Sockdreams is a great place for sock shopping.

I have some long socks that I wear with a short tartan skirt, I love this look with a white blouse and of coarse white panties. I guess I always wanted to be a school girl but I've never seen one dressed like that lol

I wear trouser socks most of the time, but I prefer thigh highs. However, those available at Walmart etc. are always sheers. They are OK, but I would prefer opaques. What are they called; brands and sources?

I usually wear some type of school uniform outfit, plaid skirt, knee socks and penny loafers, sneakers or mary jane's with them. So I have lots of long, plain white socks, as well as thigh high white stockings.

Recently scored some striped fuzzy socks at a Goodwill (brand new). LOVE wearing them around the house as slipper socks and under my pants when out of the house. Very comfortable & warm for the Winter. (they are marked as knee high but don't reach near that far)

Otherwise I wear women's low rider socks.

I am an addict and have four drawers that have socks in them. Knee high, thigh high, leggings, leg warmers, fuzzy, decorated. It's a successful shopping day when I don't buy a new pair of socks. (Like not spending $100 in Sam's/Costco)
