Well every time we turn around there is another thread about being caught here an there . So to change it up lets talk about your Favorite place to dress an where you feel good . Like me I love to go to different shoe stores an try on shoes an see up close how they look an feel . Don't have to buy them just try them out an see . All of you know that you will go through 100 pairs before you chose one if your willing to go an try them on . But do you feel allrite in a Lady's clothes store or at church or at the Mall or maybe a meeting of your choice or around others or at a Bar or maybe just driving around or do you go out of town or just around where you live ? Even if you just dress at home ,,Tell us where you feel comfortable . Or maybe your house sitting for a relative or friend an do it there or a motel room once in a while :D  :D

With my 'coffee girls'. We're a loose knit bunch (I'm the only non GG) that meets at our latte bar every morning, to share the news, views, and malign those who couldn't make it today. We are all over forty, have done well (or married well), and share alot of life's experiences (except menopause, in my case). They all dress exquisitely, in what I call country couture. Ralph Lauren rules at our table. The BMW or Porsche SUV is the weapon of choice, after horses. I love my girls, and I feel comfortable, and complete around them.-Celeste

I have gone out with some of my "T" sisters to restaurants, and shopping and feel pretty good about going most places as long as I am not alone. I have more confidence if I am with someone I know. I have not done it many times but we will see how I am in about a year or so. Just 2 months ago I would have a nervous breakdown even thinking about going in public. If I had my pick though I would prefer someplace with mostly women and fewer men as men make me nervous.

Actually, my purpose is not to hob knob with the fickle public. I've been there, done that, it doesn't do much for me. I'm at my best dressed when I'm at the club, either dancing or performing and inspiring others to have a good time being themselves, whatever their persuasion. Works for me Hon.:battingeyelashes::)

Being out with friends is the best. The fact that they accept me as I am is very special.

Ever where! I have found that we (Americans) are not very tolerant of public nudity. LOL. I love going to the coffee shops, malls, dinning, etc.. LP

If I had the money to do it, or got lucky and hit the Power Ball, I would build a full scale shopping mall that would cater strictly to the CD/TG community. Clothing stores, shoe stores, supplement stores, and any other need.

Anyway, back to the subject, I've always dressed at home. Other than walking my dog around the block I've never been out in public dressed.

I love to go to car shows and have my photo taken with some of the cars. It hasn't ever been a problem. Both men and women seem very happy to take your picture.

Hmmmm, interesting. I hadn't thought about favorites. I suppose I have several: walking the dogs in a nearby park, enjoying a meal at a restaurant, hanging out with friends at a GLBT friendly bar, or just sitting poolside with my wife.

I am still too shy to go anywhere but safe places, so I'll see the center where we have our monthly crossdressers meeting here in Denver. :)

Anywhere and everywhere! Happiest in the mainstream...I can honestly say that I am accepted for whom I am,wherever I go.There will always be some that don't understand, but they are a tiny minority at this point, and that pleasantly surprises me as it is North Florida...not Boston and not Ft Lauderdale..Most here have never seen a T in the flesh!

I am with Rogina on this one. I love being out in the real world and my favorite place out there would be seated next to an interesting group of strangers. They don't know it, but we will probably exchange contact info before the night is through.

Hong Kong and Madrid. HK is a little iffy in some parts because transgendered people are often referred to as "yan yiu," "human monster" in Cantonese, but among the LGBT population there, acceptance is really, really good. In Spain, and most of Europe, it is easy to go femme without worrying about much anything. Of course, like anywhere else in the world, there are those who simply don't understand so they react negatively.

A convertible in the Scottish Highlands is a hoot as well. Obviously, I get to travel a lot, and that has helped me get comfortable with myself. I'll add this because it is 180 degrees from the topic--my least favorite place is close to my home. I'm way too afraid no one will ever accept me there.

That is my experience lately as well..if they get a chance, and take it,to talk to us,then they realize we are genuine but enjoy different packaging..I can say that I have been really surprised by the nods that the rednecks give me now at the restaurant/bar across the street. And some of the GG staff comes over and starts the conversations now..No pitchforks there..

I would have to say the planet Earth. If you really want to pin me down, then anywhere I can also be holding my wife's hand.

I fell comfortable dressed at home where nobody can see but I would rather be out at the mall, gym, bar, restaurant, salon and you name it.... Dressing behind closed doors is too easy and boring.

I'm pushing the envelope here at home with the androgynous look. I like cities with something to do, malls, coffee shoppes, clubs. For 2013, I hope to expand my horizons and venture out of state for CD gatherings. Eureka Springs, Ar., is on my gotta do it list. Someday I hope to do SCC. As long as there are others* and the order of the day is "FUN"!

* I would say "others like me", But there's NO ONE quite like me. Thank God!

It is better going out somewhere with someone that way you stay a little anonymous as you are out with a reason and not walking the streets alone.

Anywhere that's not the 20 steps to my truck. I love the mall to window shop and to walk around in a nice pair of shoes. Out to lunch with GGs. I really like DSW, they have like 30 people working that insist on asking if I need help and they put big yellow stickers on the box that is my size so I know before I look at cute shoes. We have a really big Goodwill and Value Village which have tons of great cloths.

I love dressing to blend then going shopping at Cato, Ross, Burlington Coat factory, just to name a few places. I almost ALWAYS end up at a Goodwill or 3 and find something really nice and cheap too.

This is very true and is the reason I want my wife to go out with me as "girlfriends" (not "lovers"). Women dont often venture out alone except to run errands, especially at night.

I went out a few times a couple years ago when she was out of town and before she knew about my dressing (and before I had a decent wig, forms, and padding). That was just walking around the tourist section of town and a couple malls.

Not being a drinker, bars hold little attraction for me. A restaurant scares me because you're "trapped" in one spot and if things aren't going well, it's difficult to move on.

So if I could get her to go with me to the park, the mall, and downtown, I would be pretty happy.

What's my favorite place to dress? Stacy isn't it obvious by now? The bottom of my steps! The steps are where I get my strength and beauty. Once I leave the steps, I lose all of it, and start morphing into a very ugly dude!!!

I have enjoyed going many places including the mall, restaurants, movies, etc., but one of the more fun times I've had while dressed was at an upscale strip club. I went one Saturday afternoon on a whim while I was in the area since it wouldn't be very crowded at that time of day. I had a great time chatting with a couple of the gals there. They had a lot of questions but thought it was awesome that I was there. They practically begged me to come back another time.

Like most girls, I like to dress whenever and wherever I can...but it's not easy when balancing to ego in one who constantly fight for the spot light! It's a been a journey and I'm still unsure where this path leads!

I dress enfemme all over the city, but I feel most cormfortable at home where I can dress anyway that I choose, which is usually very scantily.

OK, give - what are they? I'm guess 3: 57 Chevy, 4: 61 Vette, 5: 1954 Studebaker Commander 1. looks like it might be a Charger? No clue on 2.

Auckland city "Sky Tower", it was a 1/2 price family day, had fun just people watching - hundreds of kids running around like mad hatters, chatted to tourists, mums & dads, children.

Apart from home, San Francisco.

I'm with Beverley. I prefer to dress at home. In my bedroom. Most of my clothes are there so it's the easiest place to get dressed. Then Seattle and surrounding areas.

A few of my favorite places? The theatre ( no musicals and no opera ). Then nice restaurants with my wife or a GNO. In the summer I like to go sit downtown and just watch people.

Cheers.

Ladies,
I am fortunate enough to be able to dress at home. Many can not.

For those of you in the West Michigan area, we are starting a CD social/support group with a monthly meeting in a discreet private location with facilities to dress.

PM me for details if interested.

This may become your favorite place to dress.
