Go for it, it truly is never too late :)

Heard of the 74 year old in my area had undergone SRS

Good luck

There are people who started transition at 60 years old and older!

if you're sure and realistic about results, why not?

If you are confident of your intent and in good health, go for it.

I started Estradiol patches this year and I'm 66. I'll likely never have the full regime of SRS, and for some that diminishes the seriousness of my intent to transition, but they don't live in my skin. Follow your own internal advice and don't let age or the opinions of extraneous people get in your way. Above all, be sure what you are doing is safe and monitored by a competent doctor.

Best of luck,

I will be 60 next fall. I've been on hrt for 2 years. I intend to go as far as I can in the time I have left. Also happier than I have ever been. Orchi next.

The only thing I can say to that is, it's your transition, how you manage it and how far you go is up to you.

Opinions on here abound, what you need to consider is what you want to do and then go about it in such a way that you are comfortable and safe. Age is irrelevant as to whether to transition or not, what is more important is how healthy you are and the likely impact any part of transition has on both your physical and mental health.

No matter what, you can be sure others think we are whacked in the head. We learn not to care what others think and do what is best for us.
