So I was wondering from the girls who have been on hormones awhile. From what I read the hormones will change your body, I am not radical after 6 months and you look like a bomb shell, but little things. I was really curious about the placement of fat at a mans waist. Do the hormones cause this area to gget skinny and the fat to reposition itself at the hips and opther places? Or do the hips just get bigger and the weight at the mid section stay? I understand hormones will not give you an hour glass figure but I was just curious what real life effects it has had on girls.

Thanx for the info in advance

About 9 months in you will feel a drop of belly fat. It will take yrs for the hips to get wider so no hurry. The under arm fat or lack of muscle will wiggle LOL about the same time. All depends on how much fat ur holding. To get the hour shape in a hurry, forget it . That is no rush if your way over weight like me. I lost 100 lbs and need to lose 100 more but just this past fall and on hrt for 3 yrs I did see the start of a shape by way of shadow cast from the sun. I HATE MIRRORS, yup got that disorder too.

TRY a waist cincher or corset for a period of time to form ur body to desired shape. Of course im only 3 yrs in as what I hear it might take 10 for addition breast growth and hips. Ive seen girls 25 yrs later and you can't ever tell that they are even a TS.

good luck.

Well after about 2 1/2 years hrt, I started at 155 pounds where I had been most of my life, now I am at 180 and it is all at the belly lol I wish it would all redistribute somewhere else!

I put on about 25 pounds after starting hormones. The only place it has visibly gone to is my belly. However, the last time I was up at this weight, my belly had easily squeezable fat and now it doesn't (well, okay, it does but only on the 2"+ scale rather than on the "hanging around loose" scale.)

But having said that the only place it has visibly gone to is my belly, I should clarify that the is visibly. My legs have gotten thicker for sure; some of the pants I could wear two years ago, I now cannot even pull up further than half way up the upper leg. I have checked with my regular masseuse and he says, Yes, those areas are definitely muscle, not fat. (I'm no fat ass!).

It is plausible that the extra weight in my belly is needing thicker legs to carry it.

I think my butt looks better now than it did before, but even that is all muscle.

I've tried giving my belly fat "Northern Living Tax Allowance", but it prefers to live in the tropics, alas!

Well, I got rid of the "Alfred Hitchcock" profile that has plagued me as since young adulthood. I have less fat in the stomach and more on my butt and hips as well as getting breasts. Now I am working on exercising more so I can get rid of the last stomach fat.

Hi,

It'll depend on weight size height , bone structure = size, or thickness, & what you'v done to your body over the years, or if you have abused your body, drugs & what ever,, plus heredity what your Mother & Father were like many factors to concider,

plus are there any health issues, as that will have a bearing as well. or your on other meds as needed,

Type of meds dose rates & how long youv been on them, & age is very importaint . lots to concider,

How i fare or others will not really tell you much, so any way heres mine .

weight 11 stone = 154 lbs over 46 years give or take 5 lbs as to working or winter / summer, food intake as needed, or not, height 5, 9. age 65, body shape in line as a female not a slim or over weight concerning my size, not heavy built i move like a woman. light on my feet. im quite fit & i have lined my self up with a few of my women friends not a great deal of difference, as a normal woman looks,

Bust 41 in's. waist line 34.1/2 in's. fullest part of hip's 39 in's. shoulders 18 in's. shoes womens 11,

meds a low dose rate of E., to maintain my body as a menopousal woman over 8 years now, major surgerys as required,

I looked after myself because i knew i had to being intersex allowed my body to be more as a female.

As to fat being moved around my body ill just say what fat, no change, meds have very little impact as to how i look, my own hormones did & do more than added synthic meds can on my body & the dose rate would have to be very high & in so doing would kill me. so its not needed, or wonted,

as i said this wont be of much help it just shows where i am .

I am sorry to disappoint you but I was advised exercise and a good diet were the only way to beat what the hoar moans are capable of doing.
Hormones might assist in breast growth and mind control and subtle sculpturing, but you can not escape exercise and a good diet to combat the excess weight gain.

I went on a diet and lost 35-40 lbs before starting and after starting hormones. My stomach got smaller but was still there. I had liposuction when I had FFS and that has reduced it considerably but it doesn't get it all. My weight is back up about 7 lbs since surgery but most of it has gone more to my butt and my boobs.

So I kind of cheated I guess. :heehee:

See Pamela, that weight loss beforehand helped the subtle sculpturing process.
Even if you did cheat tummy muscles probably need to be toned up now.

thanx girls for all the replies... I figured it was hard work to get the lbs off and I already excersize plus watch what I eat. I see though that the fat doesn't really move around or reposition itself. So diet diet diet i go !!

Pam I have thought about lipo were you happy with the results ?? was it expensive?

Steph,

I'm happy with the liposuction results. Even though I lost a lot of weight I don't think I could have gotten my shape to where it is without loosing more weight than I felt comfortable with, if then. I had some of the fat reinjected into my lips and could have had more reinjected into by behind and hips. I didn't have the extra money to do it or I would have. I would like to loose some more since I've put a few back on since surgery but probably no more than 5 or 10 lbs.

It was part of a package deal with my FFS so I don't know what it would cost by itself. I had it done in Guadalajara Mexico by Dr. Cardenas. You can check with Tyler at TransOp.com and he can give you a price. I'm sure there are doctors in your area that do it too.

It will redistribute because my weight has gone up but my waist size has not. I can tell my rear, hips, and breasts have picked up most of it so that is a good thing. The fat that is lipo'd out won't come back but the fat cells that are left will get bigger so you still have to watch your weight so you don't get lumps.

For me I have been taking my hormones since July, so just under six months and I definately have some body changes, Sadly, my stomach remains but I have good gain in my chest area which I could now call breast area as I have gained two and a half inches there, so small bumps, Hey its a start, I have also gained almost an inch on my theighs, and an inch and a half to my booty, YEAH!!!!
The sad part is now 8 out of 10 pairs of my mens jeans no longer fit due to something, I have not gained any weight, actually as of last week I lost just over 2 pounds. So I am now thinking I have to find some new jeans, The funny part is my Womens jeans still fit perfect. :)
I am looking forward to actually seeing a doctor though and soon.

Four years, I fight it with a bit of excercise and weight watching - while not a flat tummy the pooch is less than pinchable...but it is very feminine.

Watch for anything with high fructose corn syrup, stay active that's the hard part - staying active. If it means getting up every commercial then you just did 1 crunch...:)
