The thigh boots groove thang.

This is a genuine enquiry.
What is it about high heeled thigh boots?

I can understand the 'power' thing when a woman is wearing them. And I know they look sexy but it doesn't ring my bell at all to wear them. It isn't a 'normal' sort of thing for a woman to wear in a normal environment. It's actually a form of footwear that strays into history (mythical history at that) and the fantastic realm of British pantomine. So it is obviously in the fetish area, which is fine by me. They are very symbolic and everyone has their thing.

But I want to know what the attraction is to a CD. Do they make you feel poweful and sexy? Do they make you feel dominant? Or is it the iconic quality of them..all that pvc and lacing? Is it a female image you are creating or one that you are adopting and what does it feel like?

julie i never thought much abought them to own but tryed on a pair of them leather thigh boots and it was omg i love them....simply if you wear them then you have to own them....true not every day foot wear but omg the look the feel of them is to die for..........

:iagree: I have a pair of knee hi 2 inch heels, I love wearing them although I have to keep replacing the heel. Actually with the right outfit it can look everydayish, and dont forget about warmth.

I own a pair of thigh high boots a lot like the ones in the second pic in Jenny's post. I have worn them out but that was over a decade ago. Today when I wear boots they are typical calf covering boots and are wonderful in the cold!

Don,t know why-just love ,em.

Mine are black patent leather with little brass embellishments at the toe and heel with " Made by James West" stamped on the sole.
I guess they are made in Australia-I,ve never seen another pair the same ever!

Well, gotta jump in here on this one...did anybody doubt??? Thigh high boots for me is the ultimate when I dress for all the reasons listed in this thread and more!!! I have pairs that I can wear out and I have pairs that I wear when roleplaying as a Dominatrix with my GG/SO. For me, it is a very internal componant in my CD persona and has been for years!

I don't think it's fair to equate thigh high boots to the steriotypical fetish life or solely to the world of BDSM/D&S although it is a major icon of that lifestyle. Thigh high boots used to be worn by men ONLY down through history in many capacities, from nobility to military. It is a symbol in part to rank and prestige not to mention royalty.

Over time and most particularly in the 20th century has the thigh high boot been relegated to a sex symbol in the sexual underground. But, in a lot of cases, the fashion industry has put a high value on variatons of the thigh high boot as the epitomy of high fashion and a support item for the fashion designers clothing.

Thigh high boots, crotch high boots and chap boots all have a special allure to them because they are exotic foot wear that encompas many ideals. For me, they make me feel incredibly sexy when my legs are sheathed with either real leather or patent material. I just adore the shape, look and how they feel inside and out when I run my hand over them and even their smell. They are simply a very beautiful item and I'll forever be a thigh high boot wearer in my CD'ing. If you have never tried on a pair, I dare you, and walk in them too.
