I finally went outside dressed up.
So I couldn't fall asleep last night. So I got all dressed up. Which for me is just clothes, I don't have a wig or know how to do makeup yet.
I live a higher floor of a small apartment complex with a small deck. Anyway it was like 1AM and pretty dark. So I stepped outside on my deck. It was such a rush, to step and sit out there in a skirt, heels, and a girly top.
It was cold but fun.

Every baby step leads to another baby step :) Even if it was just the balcony, the rush is amazing the first time and outside is outside ;).

That rush is intoxicating. I spent an afternoon on our back deck by our pool (privacy fenced in) in a bikini. Was one of the best afternoons ever, I still have the tan lines. I love to wear my heels, hose and skirt to go out to the bank drive-up or just for a ride. I have a pick-up truck so not many can see me below the waist. I'm getting close to going out.

Congrats Abbie! I remember my first time was quite a rush as well, 50% fear and 50% enthusiasm lol - but you made it, and you will continue to make more forays as well with time. I found a lot of resources online regarding makeup how to's, I'm sure you'll be able to dig up plenty for yourself and get your "look" going soon. Have fun!

Although I've stepped outside fully dressed and have driven around a few times also, every venture out on the back patio or stepping out front door into the driveway is still a small thrill, even if it is mostly late at night when nobody is out. And when the opportunity presents itself, I also enjoy sitting out on the patio reading a book with the sun shining down on my hose-covered legs, too. There's just something about fresh air under one's skirt!

Abbie. Great first step. I'll bet it felt wonderful. Prior to yesterday, I had been limited to brief walks around the yard (in the dark). Finally got out to a friendly resort area yesterday for first time in public with denim skirt, sweater, makeup, wig, etc.. It was wonderful, although brief, surrounded by hours of driving. A word of advice, based on the fact that you found it cold: If you are in an area that gets snow, ice and slush, don't wear boots with 3 inch heels. That was the lesson I learned the hard way. They looked great, but I should have gone with the flats. My leisurely "stroll" lasted just 20 minutes and had me stumbling and sliding like a drunk. Still worth it, though. Can't wait to do it again in sensible shoes or better weather : )

Good for you Abbie. As you continue venturing farther and farther into the world take it slow and steady. You may want to do some experimenting to create your comfort levels. Rarly do I wear hair and make-up as I go out in dress, hose and heels or any womens clothes that I want to wear. Enjoy the journey! LP

Way to go Abbie. It was baby steps like that that got me eventually out and about..... Start out nightwalking and move into being a day walker and you've got it... eventually you'll miss the butterflies....

That first astep is always the biggest challenge. It will get easier and much more fun as time goes on.

It seems that we get the urge more and more to go out in public as a woman or dressed. it only gets stronger.....

Going outside in a skirt? In THIS weather? Look, it doesn't matter about one's gender status, what matters is - it is way too cold for a skirt. :)
But for real, nice going. Just wait til the weather breaks and you want to venture out in daylight en femme. You have just begun to taste fun.

That's great, Abbie! Come spring, you'll be buying club dresses and painting the town. And your face.

I remember that rush I got the first time I was "outside" dressed.
There's nothing like the first time.

The only experience I had going outside dressed, was one where I drove to a park that was pretty much empty, and sat on a park bench wearing a casual black dress, black shoes, sunglasses, and a wig, and slowly smoked a few cigarettes as I watched the sun rise. (I don't normally smoke) I never really went out in public more than a few times, unless you count driving.

Hooray for you, that first step is soooo very important. There is nothing so natural, satisfying and sexy as to appear as a woman in public. The night time stuff, I would shy away from that..........too dangerous. Daytime is way more fun, go to places where there are lots of people, no one will notice you. Shopping malls, any kind of public park or beach..........and act naturally.......if your are dressed as a woman, act like one. Don't wear outrageous outfits or anything like that. A mini skirt is OK, but not much beyond that.

Hi Abbie, I've gone out a few times but not lately, but the other night I had the urge and walked the dog it was dark and I just walked him in the yard, it felt good. Have fun in your future adventures...Hugs Jaymee

I decided to one up myself. Tonight I took out the garbage. Granted I had a winter coat on obsecuring my femme top, but my skinny cords were out in style!
Heart was racing the whole time --- most memorable time taking out the trash in my life :D

That is a great story. I remember my first time. It does seem like the more you do this, the more you want. Like there is no limit nor end.
