Bizarre Coincidence or Destiny ?

As some of you may know, I have just recently begun HRT. Just a couple of days after I popped my first pills, based upon a seemingly unrelated and completely random decision, I travelled out of my way to have lunch at PF Chang's. I ordered, and thereafter thoroughly enjoyed eating, the monogolian beef lunch plate, which is a favorite of mine.

At the conclusion of my meal, as is wont among chinese restaurants, a fortune cookie arrived with the presentation of the bill. Per my usual habit, although I generally do not eat the cookie itself, I broke the cookie and removed the fortune. Not being one to put any stock whatsoever into such fortunes, I nevertheless usually enjoy reading (and laughing at) the words found therein. Many fortunes are, in my opinion, quite ridiculous and humorous . . . .

This particular fortune, however, especially given the timing, caught and held my immediate and undivided attention.

To say the least, it was a WTF moment. Of course, I place no real value in the fortune itself. It is, after all, merely but a slip of paper obtained from the middle of a cheap, small, crunchy, oddly shaped, mass-produced sugar cookie.

But still. WTF is going on here? Are the fortune cookie gods trying to tell me something? Is fate somehow trying to communicate to me through the vessel of nutritionless food? Is this just some bizarre, random coincidence? Have I entered the f'ing twilight zone? What's the deal? Why this fortune now, right after I started HRT??!!

Perhaps even more importantly, why am I taking the time to write about a fortune obtained from the middle of a freaking cookie??!! Am I crazy? Do I simply have too much time on my hands? Am I enjoying the moment? What does any of this, if anything, say about me? :silly:

In any event, I have attached pictures of both sides of the fortune in question below. So tell me - what do y'all think?

We won't address your use of personal time. I will, however, confirm that you are indeed in the Twilight Zone...the Rod Serling one...nothing to do with teenage girls and cute vampire boys. Remember that bizarre, random coincidences are even more likely in Twilight Zone....and next time you fly, watch for monsters on the wing!

I have no reason to doubt that these were not specifically set aside for you for just such a moment. Besides, it makes for a most enjoyable moment for all of us. you have just witnessed the power of truth and embrace of the path, CONSCIOUSLY! We ofter flow through life blind and mute to the path at hand, yet we always walk that path regardless of us realizing the inevitable. Nothing is coincidental, and everything does have an innate place and time to awake us from the slumber. I am so glad you have opened your wisdom to see this precious event.

If someone walked up to you and said you are gonna make a beautiful woman, would that make you smile?, I am pretty sure it would. How about when you get the message from the universe telling you the same? can you doubt?

Yet do not dwell on this with intellect and cognitive thought, because it simply wont make any sense, it quickly will be explained, dismissed and tossed aside as ridiculous, non equation, that is how our brains process information.
But when you have opened that cookie and unraveled the tiny sheet, did your heart go WOW, YES I SHALL! go with the heart always, and these tiny miracles will fulfill your entire day, I promise!

A difficult one this. What are the odds of this happening if it was a coincidence? I beleive ther is something in Chinese beleifs and thid could be one of them. Either way I would take it as a sign that you are on a journey and that it is a blessed journey. Blessed either by coincidence or some gods. Good luck for the future.

Its all fun, for sure. And you can believe what you want. But, logially...if you were to get that message at some other time, it still might mean something else to you or if not, you would quickly forget about it. I've never told my daughter that Santa exists...I always ask her why she thinks he does and its always a case of flawed logic that convinces her.

Ahhh what a wonderful fortune, but you are never going to make those measurements if you keep eating the cookie! Do you know how many empty calories are in those things!

I don't live my life by fortune cookies but I do put some stock in signs because our mind identifies what becomes a sign and what simply fades into the din of life. Now Grasshopper snatch this tube of lip gloss from my hand.
