Do you remember ads like this one?

They shaped my childhood and teenage dreams.

They shaped my childhood and teenage dreams.

Shaped, while providing comfortable Support :) . I remember these adds well. And I had many of the same dreams.

For me, it was the L'eggs and Hanes pantyhose commercials on TV ...

I remember the catalogs and the hosiery commercials. But long before I could read I'd taken notice of my older sister's wardrobe. I didn't have any inappropriate thoughts about my sister, but I certainly dreamed about her clothes.

JCP Catalogs and any girl dressed nicely. I still remember one gal in the library at college. Never saw her again but she was in for 1966.

I have a couple of skirts like that with sewn in tulle lining.
Wash carefully and then re starch the tulle.
I have worn one in the mall with heels and turned a few heads.
At Macy's I was asked where you can buy them and I could have sold the skirt five times over.
I put an elasticised waist in them and with a broad belt and tight sweater, I certainly do not blend in then... (Smiley omitted) (Smiley omitted)

Gentlemen prefer Hanes. ;)

For me, it was L'eggs, Hanes, and the Penneys catalog too. My favorites were the Hanes TV commercials using the slogan from above. The woman walking down the street and the wind blowing her skirt, exposing the brand name on her stocking top as some guy looks on and smiles. The No Nonsense girl was cute and those were what I bought for a quick grab from Circle K or drugstore in the early 80s. And "nothing beats a great pair of L'eggs," but I prefer the Hanes commercials and print ads.

Me too! Even now when I go to antique and collectible shows there are those ads for sale. They are collectible. I loved looking at various ads and catalogues, especially those showing shapewear/girdles. On the main shopping street in NYC when I was growing up there were two woman's lingerie and clothing stores that had mannequins in their display windows adorned in open bottom girdles, bras and panties and body shapers. I tried as best I could to walk by slowly, sometimes stooping over to tie a 'loose' shoelace.

But, all is not lost. I have about a dozen sites listed as favorites of very attractive women who model their vintage slips and nightgowns. Frankly, those eBay sites are better than porn. There's a site called Howard's Hotel which is great for models of lacy slips.

I absolutely loved those Maidenform bra ads. I'm sure they went a long way to linking crossdressing and exhibitionism in me. Now if I could only pull something like that off in real life and get away with it. LOL

I remember well. I was at an age where I bought seveal of those bras. I bought the ensemble: bra, panty, slip, and panty girldle. Having someone slide their hand up your slip and gently fondle you can be very exciting. On dates the long legged girdle saved the day or night. Having a date undo the garters as you feigned no was very exciting. When his hand reaced the top it was time to raise the hips or sit up straight and say, I'm not that type of girl!!!. And plead how incocent you were.

Anyone remember the TV commercials for Easy Spirit dress pumps, with the women playing basketball in heels? "Looks like a pump, feels like a sneaker ..."
