hi, there are men who have take the courage and undergone operation and medicines with hormones to become females forever. any one in in cd.com has done that. i would love to know the procedure, the costs and the long term effects of it

This is a place for transsexual women to discuss issues and to find support along their long journey. I would suggest reading a lot in that forum. You will find many answers to your questions. As Kelley has said the transsexual forum is a place of good information.
To answer your question a lot of our members have undergone transition.
Being simplistic the procedure is see a therapist, a doctor will then prescribe hormone treatment, live 12 months full time as a woman and then the final operation.
There is a lot in between that you need to find out about first. Your suitability psychologically and mental state are just for starters.
