A CD Christmas Story
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, a new audience! although I posted this on another forum it still is addressing a new group. Each holiday season I like to send out my CD Christmas story. Most of my CD friends have seen this greeting but you haven't so I took poetic license to post this. With all due respect to Clement C. Moore I have transgenderized Twas the night Before Christmas. To put me in the proper mood I begin by reciting my favorite line from Deck The Halls:
Don we now our gay apparel. Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la. And now ladies a CD Christmas story.
A CD CHRISTMAS STORY by SALLY 2
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the night
All the CDs were so excited it was such a wonderful sight
Their Nylon Stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that Santa Claus would put lotsa goodies in there
The CDs were nestled all snug in their canopied beds
While visions of sugar plum fairies danced in their heads
With Ann in her pajamas and me in my blue dressing gown
We settled in for a long sleep that we hoped would be sound
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter
When, what to my mascara laden eyes should appear
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer
With a little old driver, so lively and quick
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick
More elegant than peacocks his charges they came
He whistled and shouted and called them by name
Now, DONNA! Now,JULIE! Now,MARLA ,Now HOLLY
On, ANGEL on SHARON, on LOTTE and SALLY
To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall!
Now sashay away! Sashay away! Sashay away all!
So up to the house-top the little swishers flew
With a sleigh full of goodies and good old St Nick too!
And then in a twinkling, I heard on the roof,
The prancing and pawing of each high heeled spiked hoof
As I clutched at my teddie and was turning around
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot
His eyes how they twinkled! His dimples how merry,
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard on his chin was as white as snow
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old self,
And I laughed when I saw him in spite of myself
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his feats,
And filled all the stockings with feminine treats
Laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a sign,
And away they all flew shaking each little behind
But I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight,
“HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL CDs, AND TO
ALL CDs A GOODNIGHT.”
