Ok, so I've been on the forum about 5 years now, but any of you that have read my comments know that I am fairly quiet. I have only started 2 threads and though I love reading all of your comments I have not commented on many threads. But I want you to know that I thoroughly enjoy reading the threads and have learned so much from so many of you.

With that being said I felt I needed to let you know of a milestone in Rita's lifestyle. Ten years ago today the wife left and filed for divorce after many heartbreaking moments for both of us. We had many discussions about the cross dressing which at first she supported. Then she changed her mind and condemned it and me claiming that I was gay and would not admit it. I could not convince her that I'm not.

I have been dressing for as long as I can remember, bought and "borrowed" women's clothing, purged too many times, and been through all the typical self-analysis guilt trips. I realized before she left that this part of me was not going away so I resolved to learn to live with it and live with it I have. After getting over the initial shock when I signed the subpoena for the divorce hearing, I got in the shower and shaved everything and put on my prettiest pair of panties. Then I got all of Rita's things out of hiding and put them on hangers and the dresser drawer. I did not have many things then but OMG if you could see it now. I threw away all of my male underwear and have worn panties every day since then. I had never tried makeup until I joined the forum. I have gotten much better at makeup thanks to many of your tips. I have been out too many times to remember now and can't wait until the next outing.

Here is the ironic part. The ex and I are still friends and still see each other now and then. We've even had holiday dinners together. Though we don't talk about it she knows I still CD.

I enjoy the diversity of this website and read the threads as often as I can. I have learned so much from all of you and want you to know how much I appreciate having found the forum.:battingeyelashes:

I had to smile when I read this Rita.

I remember when I got divorced and the moment I started hanging up my dresses skirts and tops in my very own wardrobe in my own house.
The feeling of freedom was [and still is] exciting.

This is a nice thread so post more girl.

It is a nice thread and since the two of you now get along have you considered introducing your ex to Rita?

Yes, I remember when I got divorced. I thought it was the end of the world. Actually it was a new beginning, and on the whole things worked out pretty well.

Five years on the forum and ten years divorced.
I am glad you do see your wife on occasions as it takes some emptiness out of your life.
Those that separate never to see each other again can be heart wrenching after a few years if they have not found another partner.
All the best for the next Ten.
