Interesting article on CNN online this morning: "Sex changing fish - Secret lives of bluebanded gobies".

According to research these fish can and do change from male to female and back, adopting characteristics such as aggressiveness or retreat and submissiveness along with their 'role'.

Would it be as easy, and acceptable, for us :battingeyelashes:

Frog species also do it. Of course, they don't have friends and relationships and guilt and shame and every other human emotion there is....

This seems to be a potential latent ability that many species possess. ;):)

It could make for an interesting future section in this forum.
A section reserved for those with morphing abilities.

But think of all the poor doctors that would be out of work.

Eh, there are many organisms that will change chromosomal sex via environmental changes. Reptiles sex is determined by the incubation temperature. Clownfish require a matriarchal society in the anenome and if the dominant female dies, a male will take her place.

I wonder if we will drift to bird mating tendancies, the male has the more outlandish colors and tries to get the female attention...

They say that we have come from the sea and are now of a higher order than fish yet the fish have this ability to do this and I take it it is not frowned upon by the other fish so why is it frowned upon in humans and why can't we do it , or could it be possible ? well I must admit that I use to try and convince myself that it was possible , maybe I should get my last few brains sells working on that again before they dwindle away "um food for thought" .
Maybe I should consume large amounts of clown fish and I might catch something from them but knowing me I would just end up being a clown :daydreaming:
