This is a little personal so I'll start by apologizing to anyone that may be offended by this. I've been on HRT for around 4 months now and I've noticed that when I sweat "down there", it smells different now than it used to. I'm assuming because my body chemistry is changing. My question is this: Do products like Vagisil and RePhresh really do any better at controlling that odor than just your average soap ( I use Dial anti-bacterial)? I mean the feminine washes and wipes, not the creams and ointments. I also use a little baby powder when I get out of the shower before I get dressed. Thanks for any advice you can give.

I too am on HRT, about 5 months now, and although my personal sense of smell is lousy my wife has observed that my old "male body oder" has diminished greatly since I started therapy. I don't use any special soaps or cleansers so I'd attribute the change to body chemistry. Your observation is likely correct .
Good luck,

I don't pay much attention of how I smell "down there". Having said that, I noticed that my male odor has totally disappeared. I used to have really offensive body odor, Now I don't. I have been on M2F HRT for about 16 months. I recommend that you use Dove soap instead of Dial. I find Dial to be too harsh for my skin since my skin has become softer with the HRT.
