This is a little personal so I'll start by apologizing to anyone that may be offended by this.  I've been on HRT for around 4 months now and I've noticed that when I sweat "down there", it smells different now than it used to.  I'm assuming because my body chemistry is changing.  My question is this:  Do products like Vagisil and RePhresh really do any better at controlling that odor than just your average soap ( I use Dial anti-bacterial)?  I mean the feminine washes and wipes, not the creams and ointments.  I  also use a little baby powder when I get out of the shower before I get dressed.  Thanks for any advice you can give.

I too am on HRT, about 5 months now, and although my personal sense of smell is lousy my wife has observed that my old "male body oder" has diminished greatly since I started therapy. I don't use any special soaps or cleansers so I'd attribute the change to body chemistry. Your observation is likely correct .

I don't pay much attention of how I smell "down there".  Having said that, I noticed that my male odor has totally disappeared.  I used to have really offensive body odor,  Now I don't.  I have been on M2F HRT for about 16 months.  I recommend that you use Dove soap instead of Dial.  I find Dial to be too harsh for my skin since my skin has become softer with the HRT.
