The countdown is on for my SRS. 60 more days and I will be under Dr Chett's care.
I believe that I have everything lined up for this, with the exception of final payment.
My plane departs from Florida on March 30 at 0600.

Wonderful news Nicki. Keep that short timers calendar marked for the countdown, and we all know where that last flap will be positioned...lol (just something for the former military there)

Thank you everyone for your kind words.
@ Charlene, I am staying at the Dusit princess
@ crystal, Yes it will be about 23 hours in the air. I am not sure how I will make that long trip. I usually get antsy after flying for 1 1/2 hrs. I suppose a sleeping pill and a Capt and Coke might help.

The Dusit is very pretty and the staff speak english pretty well ( do not count on that on the street - few people in Bangkok speak english, but it won't matter much). Take it easy after surgery, do a bunch of sight seeing prior if you can. The trip over is long, the trip back is gonna be a b#$%h ... there is a pillow that will help a lot both ways. I've attached a picture of it. You can inflate it as much as needed, best bet is to put it all the way up and slowly change it over the course of the flight: this will distribute the pressure on your thighs. Get up as much as you can and walk around or do some exercises (others will be too, no worries). The pillow is from Magellan, and it is pricey. Well spent $$.

The sleeping pill and alcohol is not a great idea, you do not want to sleep in one position for extended time on international flights.

The keyhole goes to the back, it is to relive stress on your backbone. I got this advice from friends who travel internationally to Asia 3 times a year ( for 27 years...). Enjoy, Thailand is amazing !!
